Personally have found flights cheaper using www.faregeek.co.uk when flying from U.K. To Detroit. Most the time there well under 500£

That's another site for me to look into thank you.

Virgin are selling for next March onwards for £506 from LHR, but I'm not just about to go binge some hours on faregeek.co.uk, thank you!

My upcoming trip was under 500 so I'm never going to complain, as it's been double sometimes (when not using work travel perks).

My fiancé flys out of Manchester. Most flights are united airlines.  Fly into Newark in coming and Frankfort out going.

Fyi... when u fly here on k1 visa book round trip flight as is much cheaper and once u land and settle cancel return flight. Boook return flight for a few weeks out so u have time to cancel.

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

Manchester would be ideal as I'm just from Hull (couple of hours East) but I'm quite happy for the trip down to LHR and just get on and get off. I spend too much time in airports already! 😝

Thank you, definitely look at that closer to the time...hopefully not too long before I can start looking through!

It can be a little touch and go driving around there, but all in all I don't mind it...as long as you know where the horn is, you're good to go haha

All the best in your process on getting everything sorted! Just had a little nosy on your timeline and you seem pretty close now.

Yup getting close now. Medical is scheduled for nov 15th and interview scheduled for nov 16th. We r aware that medical won't make it to embassy in time but, it saves Christine from having to travel from Rotherham to London 2 weeks later. Figure we should have visa in hand some time early dec. with plans to travel here end of January.

Nothing is booked as of yet. As we don't want to screw ourselves

That's exciting stuff! Yeah booking it like that is a good way to do it, I just know my bloods are going to flag up really high iron levels regardless so I'm going to make the trip twice (3.5 Hours).

Good idea, always better to be safe (and save £500 worse case scenario) than sorry isn't it.

Hope it's all plain sailing for you both now, so close to the finish line!

The attorney advised we should expect to have our NOA2 in October.......Oh my goodness I don't know how we're gonna make it rhough this month pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease make it sooooooooooooooooooooooon.....how do y'all cope?

First, NEVER listen to lawyers!  5 months hasn't happened consistently since March of 2017.  Average now is 7 to 10 months.  If you are at CSC they are currently (per their website which I dont trust) processing Match 18, 2018 petitions...

Swearing, profusely.

Checking, continuously.

But in all seriousness, it's not easy to cope at all! We try to video chat/call as much as possible and over the past couple of weeks (we're expecting NOA2 approximately late December when I'm visiting for Christmas!) starting getting vaccinations and selling things and just doing any little thing to make it seem like I'm actually helping the process along.

It's good to see another soon-to-be-Michigander, all the best!

Hellooo, another soon-to-be Michigander here 😉, expecting the NOA2 this month.
