Contact your Embassy and get a new passport -- that would be a good start.

Don't worry about the I-94 -- it's not very important.

Do you still have the biometric appointment letter? Your A# number should be on it.

What gives you that impression?

I never had to use it once after I filed the I-485.

Since this guy is talking about his biometric appointment, I'm guessing he has

already filed his I-485 (hopefully with a copy of the I-94.)

Yeah that's a good point. Obviously he sent in a copy of his I-94 with AOS. At my interview they took my I-94, and I don't know what the consequences would have been if I hadn't had it, but I would have guessed not much.

My wife, too, lost her passport. We have our interview in June and I'm not sure how we're going to get her I-551 stamp!

You mentioned contacting the embassy, but my experience is low in that area. Is there a peruvian embassy in the US? Do we call or mail them? Is there a standard form to request a replacement for a lost passport? Any expertise would be greatly appreciated. She arrived legally so she probably got a 551 stamp before (more than a year ago)...

I will try to answer questions of others, and appreciate any info.

You will be asked to produce the original I-94 at interview..... so yes you will need it... you can get a replacment I-94 by filling out the form that is available on the USCIS website and pay the fee.... The I-94 is your l proof that you entered the US legally and that you were inspected at POE....

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD

The current fee is $160.00

There are many peruvian consulates in the US, only one embassy.

They can help you renew your passport by mail. First you have to file a police report reporting it stolen, and go from there.

Thank you!

I just got off the phone with USCIS and e-filed an I-765 (the reason I wanted the passport was for the I-551 stamp) so I may not need it now... if I get the EAD. I should have filed that with the 485, it turns out.

The I-94 is important contrary to what was posted. You will need to turn it in at the interview...If you dont have it you will need to file for a replacement copy.

Without a passport, you won't get a stamp. My husband's was expired, therefore no stamp.

You need to go to a consulate and get it renewed. She'll need her DNI to do this.

The Way it Is,

What was posted is that a photocopy of the I-94 is to be submitted with the I-485, and if that was done then the I-94 itself is not necessary and a replacement is not needed. The photocopy should suffice.
