I just received another one of these emails, we are still reviewing your case, no updates..

I never applied for citizenship, VSC July 17. No updates at all. No transfer notice. Nothing.

I’m in the same boat here, even further behind. July 3, 2017. EAC278 here. TWO service requests submitted  where they acknowledge delay and apologized. Have an INFIPASS  for 2/26 to stamp passport. Also thinking  to file N-400 in march.

I spoke to them yesterday and was not able to get an infopass (now you have to call them to schedule it in NYC). They didn't even acknowledge the delay. Hope we hear something soon. My marriage is not doing great and my husband and I are talking about divorce for a while now. That's why I didn't apply for citizenship yet.

I have done case inquiry, and gave them a call. When I was on the phone they told me that it is till under normal processing time (they have just extended it that day). I plan on calling tomorrow again

Similar situation. 20 months of waiting. I had two info pass appointments. I got a stamp in my passport but information-wise it was pretty useless. In one of them I was told that everyone goes through the interview now. However, I don't think it is true since my friend just got her green card in the mail a week ago. I have submitted an inquiry two weeks and and expecting their reply by 25 of Feb. I also did not apply for N400 since my Lawyer strongly advised me not to do so before my green card is approved.

About interviewing everyone, that is not true.  We know that for the fact. MOST people in here get approved with no interview.

Agreed. Plenty of cases are not interviewed, majority in fact. Did they give you a stamp valid for 1 year or less? I have an Infopass next week.

Should I travel with passport stamp if receive government help? Ok, in 2016 I was pregnant with my first, my husband's lost his job and we applied for WIC but I only took it like for 4 months cuz he found a jobs but we do have HMO health insurance thru the marketplace and pay $140 for my daughter, husband and I. I had a baby last December and he was sent to Medicaid.

My husband doesn't want me to travel he says we shouldn't risk it? What are the chances they take my green card away? In the other hand is it going to affect my N400 application?

Thank you in advance.

question.

my green card exp 10/06/17 and I have an extension for 18 months ( as all we have) . so extension finishes at 04/06/19 ( April 6th )

Do I need to do anything? Because I have a job and I don't want to get fired cuz of that.

You can contact your local office to get an I-551 stamp in your passport if you need a proof of your permanent resident status.

Your current employment may not ask you for a proof of work authorization again if you present a proof of permanent residency when you were first hired.  Asking for it again is considered discrimination by country of origin, that is the law.  The employer is entitled to ask for a continuing proof of work authorization only if you submit proof that is not a permanent resident or a US citizen status.

Your permanent resident status remains valid for as long as you are alive.  It could only change if your I-751 form is denied or if you apply and become a US citizen.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. I appreciate it. I don't think I will travel with pending status. I worked for 6 years in Turkish Airlines Visa Passport / Immigration Office. We always give a hard time to who wants to travel with pending cases. :(
