Again, yet another person who was approved almost EXACTLY 90 days from their case being transferred to another office. There are a few of us with that same time line.

I'm almost certain there is some kind of internal deadline USCIS have on cases that get transferred. For those who were transferred to NEBRASKA, see what happens around the 90 day mark!

You are attributing FAR too much orderliness to the process.

Each person's file is worked on by an individual worker, and there are hundreds of such workers.

Even if it were a plan, it would be impossible for the timings to be coordinated.

I agree with you, but I am talking exclusively about those transferred from CSC to NEBRASKA. There are now three people, all approved EXACTLY 90 days from when it was transferred.

I feel this means on cases transferred you are not susceptible to the timings of that new office, but instead they put you in a 3 month clear out. It's too much of a coincidence that those transferred were all approved exactly 90 days after.

Then I apply for citizenship and today I receive this notification and I don’t know what is mean ? There gonna call me for an interview ? Someone who was approved for 751 recently he was receive notification like mine ?

I filed to remove conditions July last year. Never heard anything for ages then the N400 window opened up for me so I went online and filled out the details. In November they scheduled me for a N400 Interview for the 3rd December. About 1wk before I was due to go they de-scheduled it, about 2 days later I then got another letter for an i751 interview on the 18th Dec. Went to the interview, got approved and today my case got the same message as you. Looks like you maybe not need an interview and they might be processing your 10yr GC.

Hey Donut35 -

I was reading through the thread and I think I have the same status as you. My last update was on Apr 9, saying that my case was transferred to the local office. I haven't filed an online request yet because my NOA was on July 17, which is not out of the normal processing time as they just pushed it back to June 2017 today. Let me know what happened to your case and if you will be getting an interview. I think we will probably have similar status. Thanks!

Hi loveapplejuice888,

I still don’t hear anything , your status is the same mine. Since I sent the request online , and got a respond via email. They told me that I will get in a mail ( the one I think like @Pupa but I didn’t get it in mail. Now they pushed it back to June 2017. And they told me that I have to wait after 30 days, I could request online again if I want. But sounds like @mrkrabbs sent request 2 times in a month?

I finally heard a response for the inquiry. It says “Recently, you contacted us about the status of your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence. You also filed a Form N-400, Application for Naturalization. Our records indicate that your Form I-751 and Form N-400 are currently pending and will be adjudicated at the same time”

Thank you Ben!! Let me know if you have something news. I haven’t filed n400.

Here is why we all have to suffer through a long process.

Worcester Man Sentenced for Marriage Fraud

Six women from Sub-Saharan Africa married defendant to gain legal status in U.S.

Peter Hicks, 57 admitted to marrying three of the women solely to obtain immigration benefits for them. During a second interview with immigration officials, Hicks admitted that he was paid to recruit people for fraudulent marriages. While being interviewed by federal agents on Jan. 8, 2015, Hicks admitted that he was involved in marriage fraud for approximately 13 years. He also said that he received payments to marry undocumented African women and to find willing United States citizens to marry illegal aliens for the purpose of allowing the women to establish legal status in the United States.

I agree. I am a CSC filer, Jul 05. My case was transferred to Nebraska, too. I have received nothing and my case status has not changed. My file number is WAC17277XXXXX, before the ones who are being appoved, so if there is a timing I shold have received some news by now, I think.

I hope you are right, but I am a CSC filer tranferred to Nebraska on the same date as you; however my case serie and date is before yours and I have received nothing. Last time I checked the timeline for Nebraska it said: receipt date for a case inquiry, January 25, 2017 😧

Hello all!

So - after attending our interview in September, we’d heard nothing to I called a couple of weeks back. They said that there was still no decision, they’d ask the Chicago office to respond, and that I’d hear in 14 days. In the meantime I’ve had to schedule an infopass appointment to get a new stamp in my passport as Chicago were only giving out 6 months in the summer, and mine runs out on Jan 15.  I have an appointment on Jan 3 for the stamp.

Today I got an interview letter for my naturalization on Jan 24. Is anyone else in this situation? I’ll obviously bring all my paperwork for my ROC, but as we’ve already had the interview for that, do folks think I should also bring my husband along?

TIA

kate.

AOS Journey

3.25 Pack sent to Chicago Lockbox (I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131) by Overnight FedEx

3.26 Pack arrived at Chicago Lockbox

3.31 Email and texts arrived saying case was received, receipt # allocated, all MSC numbers

4.6 NOIs received by mail

4.17 Letter with biometrics appointment date received

4.21 Walked in early to ASC for biometrics appointment (original date was 4.27) and was seen

6.16 Put in request with service center as EAD over 75 days

6.17 Called State Senator's office and asked for their help with chasing USCIS for the EAD

6.18 Status updated saying EAD card being shipped

6.19 EAD arrived

6.28 i-485 status updated to "Ready for Interview"

9.27 Interview attended

10.05 Green card received

ROC Journey

*realizes that ROC window opens 24 days after I'm due to give birth to first child, panics, and starts to figure out the prep now, even through it's January and 5 months early*

What wording indicates to you that your case transferred to Lee Summit ?

As far as I know, Lee Summit is the office that mails out Green Cards.

Wife has gotten her 2 year GC and 10 year GC with sending mailing address of Lee Summit.  Nothing else happened in Lee Summit.

I don't think they do any other processing there.

But I could be wrong.

Yes, they do now because of the backlog. I think most of the cases that are sent to Lee Summit are for interview- I think combo will be the option for me cause I filled for N400 too. Btw, how was your experience, How did the interview go? I am gonna be at the same local office as you in Chicago.

For processing of I-751, there are only 4 Service Centers.

California

Vermont

Nebraska

Texas

For processing of N-400, Lee Summit is not listed either.

Files sent to Lee Summit are for something else other than ROC or Citizenship processing.

As I  told before, Lees Summit has mailed my wife her 2 year GC and her 10 year GC.

I ask again . . . what does the letter specifically say that gave you reason to think something transferred to Lee Summit ???

And again, I admit that I might be wrong . . . after seeing the specific words on your letter.
