Hi! We have USPS tracking to show that our documents arrived in the Dallas PO Box on Thursday 11th.

We're wondering when we're likely to receive the G-1145 confirmation via text and email.

We also paid by USPS Money Order. Is there a way to see when they cash this? And does anyone have an anecdote for this that could give us a rough idea

Thanks in advance!

Something to keep in mind with USCIS as you begin this long journey--
It is never guaranteed that you will be notified via text messages, e-mails or the app (if you download it once you receive your application number).

Just because you don't hear anything does not mean something is wrong with your case.
ALL correspondences from them will arrive via mail in your mailbox.

Now, as for your general question- NOA1s take 1-2 weeks so definitely give yourself till this weekend to hear something.

Best of luck with your journey!

have to wait 2 months to ask USPS if a money order is cashed and you need to produce the copy and they make an inquiry / takes about 2 more weeks to find out

bank money orders can be viewed in 2 weeks after cashing
