I am looking at my Fiance and Daughters K - 1 and K - 2 Visas and see no A #. However I do see an A # on the I - 797 NOA 2 in the space where the Beneficiary name is located. The # is A099 452 XXX. Is this the correct number that's being discussed here?

Yes.

Jewel,

Again .... not necessarily true, they may very well have an A#. If in the past one has had some kind of petition or application before the USCIS or its' predecessor INS then they will have an A#.

..... if one's adjusting from a non-immigrant visa that is not marriage or family-related (like B-2 or F-1), he/she simply won't have an A# to put on the forms. You would just write "none".

Chuck D,

Not all consulates put the A# on the visa. Some do, others do not.
