Time Line Question

Timeline

Just curious...for K-1 visas timelines. I noticed that there are different timelines for all the service centers and they all differ a little. However, all of TSC and NSC's petitions go to CSC anyway, so why is there a difference? I have actually noticed that TSC's timelines are a few days shorter than CSC. Why is that; if they go to CSC anyway?

Thanks,

That may be true today but not always. As reflected here:

You can see that because of workload sharing some service centers share the same or near same processing timelines. THis in the past has however changed many times (case load sharing) so this may affect things down the road. Keeping them seperate keeps us able to detect that.

But since the Timelines are customer generated....VJ members may decide to change their service center, upon finding out that their petition is processed through CSC, rather than NSC or TSC....so this would skew some results wouldn't it?

Captain,

I noticed the chart you posted shows TSC, NSC, and CSC about the same processing times. Which makes sense. However, I don't understand the average of around 100 days. I know it takes longer than 100 days to process a K-1. Does this timeline mean from NOA1 to NOA2?

Thanks,

Yes. If anything then the instructions should be updated. :). I will do that now.

OK - it's probably staring me in the face, but I was going to pass on this info in the K1 forum because I know many people don't read things that are posted here or the instructions (since they've already started their timeline). I can't FIND the instructions to copy and post.
