Our file left the NVC on 7/9/19 headed to the Embassy in Panama.

I'm scheduled to be there for a few days at the end of the week to visit and take care of a few things while I am there.

We need to get the lease for our apartment legalized (proof of relationship) and she needs to get her Venezuela Police certificate legalized.  We also need to find a travel kennel for her dog :sleepy:.

If we're lucky, we will get the P3 while I am there.  All of those documents are ready to be sent.

Then we can schedule the medical appointment, schedule the interview, and start the Panama Police Certificate.

Hello @SteVas   If I understood correctly, the status of your visa was issued and the next day you picked it up? Or the status "issued" lasted several days?

Thanks

Hi @Juliee sorry for the delay. Yes we verified that the courier had the visa and then we went and picked it up.

DHL reported that our documents were received and signed for at the Embassy on Thursday 7/11/19.

On Friday, I sent an email with my NVC Case Number in the signature line and sent all of the P3 documents.

Somehow I forgot about sending a copy of my passport and a copy of the ATLAS confirmation page.  The emailed me this morning 7/15/19 and requested those documents.

Below is the email that I sent:

Good Afternoon,

We received information that our file has reached the Embassy in Panama.

In hopes that we can obtain an interview at the end of July, we are being proactive and respectfully sending our supporting documentation.

In addition to creating a profile in ATLAS, we have attached the following documents for your review:

DS-160 confirmation page

Banco General Payment Receipt

I-134 – Executed

I-134 Supporting Documentation

2018 Tax Return Transcript (Petitioner)

2018 W-2 (Petitioner)

Copy of Passport (Beneficiary)

Please let us know if there is any additional information that we may provide.

We're currently playing the waiting game with the embassy.  We sent our P3 documents and then they asked for a copy of my passport before they will schedule an interview.  I'm hoping that we can get in at the end of this month, so I'll follow up if I haven't heard anything by noon today.

Hi T! I'm curious if you've heard back. It seems that we're about 2 weeks behind you. NVC received our info last week and sent it out to Panama today! Also- how did you track the package? Not sure if I missed it in previous posts, but what is the email address to send the information to the Panama embassy to be proactive in regards to P3?

I hope you've gotten news and are already scheduling medical dates and the interview! =)

Hi @kellyk

I tracked the package using Greenbaum’s hack. It’s in the documents in the first post of his monthly NOA2–NVC threads.

The email address to the embassy is on the first page of this thread. It’s the PanamaIV email address.  I’m responfing from my phone and can’t get the exact address until tomorrow.

Still no response from the embassy.  I’ll follow up again tomorrow, but thank you for the positive energy!

Hi @kellyk

The email address is Panama-IVisas@state.gov

Hopefully they will respond to you quickly.   I have been writing them since last week and haven't been able to get a response.

I actually called the embassy and they said that the only way to contact the group that does the scheduling is via email.

Im on my way to Panamá right now. Right before I went through security, the embassy responded to my fiancee’s email and scheduled our interview for the 15th of August.

I was under the impression that appointments were on the last Wednesday of every month.

Medical appointmemts were readily available at both hospitals.

More info to come. But tonight we celebrate!!!!

Looking at the P4 email, they didn’t request that we bring a certificado de soltera to the interview.

Her medical appointment is scheduled for Friday. We will start the process of getting the Panamá police certificate tomorrow.

Panama Police Certificate should be ready on Wednesday.

Medical appointment went well today.

There were very slight hiccups related to Claudia's passport being "extended by decree," but we had a printout from the State Department with us and that helped us out.

Now we wait for the Venezuelan Police certificate to be delivered before our interview.....and continue to pray that there are no more electricity issues in Caracas (along with a thousand other prayers for her home country).

I would HIGHLY recommend using the Dr at Paitilla Medical Center for the medical appointment. The Dr was very professional, patient, spoke English and Spanish, and was very helpful.

The X-ray was completed the same day, along with the blood serology.

Rather than having to return for a second visit, you are given a user name and password for a website and all of the results are loaded there.

The Dr. anticipated that our file would reach the embassy by Wednesday this week.
