I would HIGHLY recommend using the Dr at Paitilla Medical Center for the medical appointment. The Dr was very professional, patient, spoke English and Spanish, and was very helpful.

The X-ray was completed the same day, along with the blood serology.

Rather than having to return for a second visit, you are given a user name and password for a website and all of the results are loaded there.

The Dr. anticipated that our file would reach the embassy by Wednesday this week.

Thanks for the update- we just received word that our appointment will be on August 20th. We're going to try and book the appointment in Paitilla ASAP! =)

We sent our docs on Wednesday to the Embassy and received our appointment date on Monday.

Congratulations!

i was under the impression that interviews were always held at the end of the month. I’m happy that this isn’t the case.

We initiated the Police Certificate on Thursday 8/1/19 and it was ready on Wednesday 8/6/19.  She had to pay for it to be Apostilled.  That took a few hours and $15.

The medical results have been sent to the embassy.  We are just waiting for the Venezuela police certificate to arrive from Caracas.

interview is next Thursday.

it was the strangest, but also the most fitting interview for our situation.  The officer interviewed both of us in both English and Spanish and it was mostly “open ended” questions.  I’ll write a summary later, but now I need to rest. I’ve had 4 hours of sleep, including my catnap prior to the interview.

I need to regroup before I start bugging you all about CEAC status and passport delivery.  😁😂😂

Great news and a great feeling!

Be sure to post a thorough consular review so that others facing the same might learn.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Happy to hear about the positive outcome and glad to know I could help! Congratulations!

It's a great feeling knowing there are other Panamanian/American couples doing this. Up until the day of our interview, it felt like no one else from Panama was working through the same process 🤣

Major congrats!!!!

I know being approved is probably one of the best feelings ever :D

Remember that there might be a little inconvenient here and there in regards to getting the visa and that the CEAC status changes are very different for everyone and usually all over the place jumping from one status to another back & forth.

Me and my fiance were a little bumped out because we expected to receive my visa last week and due to having to retake my fingerprints since the CO forgot to take these back at my interview and (speculation/possibly) mothers day here in Costa Rica the CEAC status had not moved whatsoever but just today they touched our case again and I'm positive I'll get my visa in due time :)

I have posted my consulate review.

I think that the embassy staff gets a commission from the photo booth in the consulate.  Every person in our group had to re-take their passport photo, and the security guards "conveniently" had change for people who needed smaller bills.
