Ok I'm about ready to break here. I know I'm probably being impatient, but has anyone with a recent packet 3 from Montreal gotten an interview date. We got our packet 3 in Feb. and they received the checklist and DS230 on March 2nd. Is it too soon to be looking for packet 4?? 21 days!!! Are they torturing us or what? Ok all better just needed to vent and see if anyone else has gotten anything from Montreal lately. Just need a little hope that everyone there hasn't gone on strike or quit or died and no one told all us poor saps waiting from them.

My timeline might give you a rough idea of the wait time. Packet 4 usually takes at least 4 weeks to receive, with an interview 4 weeks after that (approximately)

Thanks Carrie, that gives me a little hope it's been over 3 weeks now and I'm getting a little crazy sitting here waiting for it. Even if the interview date was 2 months away it wouldn't matter just to have a date. Any ray of hope would be nice right now. No offense zyggy I know you were only being realistic but ummmmmm that wasn't a ray of hope or sunshine there.

Thank you pri, Montreal recieved my checklist and DS230 on the 2nd of March. So maybe it will be soon. I sure hope so this waiting is really messing with me. Maybe I'm not coping as well as I should be but I never was a patient person and with a little guy wanting to go home every day and missing daddy it's getting tough with each day that goes by with out any news. Maybe the embassy's should be renamed torture chambers Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh . I'll be nicer tomorrow I promise.

if you hv sent on 2 Mar it takes about 5days to reach them, then it is alloted to that file so you go on a waiting list i dont know how this list works but once they send you it takes 5 days

To be clearer I xpress posted my checklist and DS230 and it was signed for in Montreal at 9:22am March 2nd 2006. So they have had it in their little hands since then. Grrrrrrrrrr sorry guys to be ranting but I don't do patient well....................................

There are a few of us all in the same time frame here and like you gsmaclean I have been watching everyone elses timelines. I'm sure right now at this exact moment someone in a little cubical in Montreal is haunting the VJ site and laughing at all up poor souls sitting here waiting for them to get up and get back to work.

I only called twice, 2 weeks apart. The first time I got nada, the 2nd they told me my date. The phone lady is much nicer than the one that replies to emails

Better wait until I am in a much better mood to call anyone. Heck I don't even like my own company right now I'm such a sour puss. Better not take the chance!! Maybe tomorrow. If nothing else it may wake them up and let them know I'm more than the number they think I am.

They received my info on march 8. i called yesterday and the lady said i was in a queue waiting for a date.

Note to self: Buy Montreal consulate a day planner so they can better keep track of interview dates and times they have available for scheduling interviews.

Wait until you get there, you will amazed at the amount of people there for some reason or other. It's a really busy place.

I sent my checklist on Feb 3 and received Packet 4 on March 14 telling me my Interview is April 5 (8 more sleeps ) But I found out about my Interview on March 3 by calling them. Good luck to you and yours. I'll be glad to get this part over with. The waiting is hard on the nerves.................{{{{HUGS}}}}
