Hi,

 

Are you in the DCF process in Colombia?? from what I know the Colombian US embassy will have to request the USCIS office in Lima permission to adjudicate your case. Did you do this already? hoy long did USCIS Lima take to approve or denie your DCF request?

I am living in Colombia with my wife, I had to file in the US through the Chicago lockbox and they forwarded my I-130 to Texas Service Center. Good luck.

Thanks for the information. How long did it take for the process to complete?

You can check official processing times here: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ . Texas service center is taking around 6-8 months to process an I130. Note that this is only for the first half of the process. You'll have to add another 6-8 months for NVC and interview. Total processing time is around 12-15 months.

06/27/2017: NOA1 (technically a RFE as we were missing beneficiary ID)

07/06/2017: NOA2

07/12/2017: Case assigned by Juarez embassy

07/17/2017: Packet 3 received

08/15/2017: Interview/Approval!

08/22/2017: Visa received via DHL

09/03/2017: POE

09/16/2017: Permanent Resident Card received

 

Total days from NOA1 to approval: 49
