Hi, hope you are all good. I called NVC and they received my case on 24th of September. People have said to call them once or twice a week, has anyone had any success with that? Does that actually expedite it or am I wasting my time? Should I just wait or call them once or twice a week until i get a case number? Us citizen mom filing for minor under 21 IR2 Visa

I've noticed some people are rude on here so if you're going to be rude then do not comment. Thank you for those who are taking their time to answer my question, I appreciate your time. Have a nice day!

I would try calling later at night. You seem to be able to get through easier. It is usually a long wait to get someone on the phone. I have read that they prefer emails. I sent one and got a response back. It did take about 4 days. Hope that helps and good luck!

If only you knew your case is at the NVC since September 24 , it's no need to call them because most probably four weeks  must be the maximum time expecting response from them and it depends the loads NVC had .

For spouse visa currently it's taking upto 8 weeks to get case number I think it's similar to your case even it's not spouse. I think it's very early. Start calling them after month.

i hope it doesn't take the full 8 weeks, thank you

My wife kept calling until they responded after 6weeks....

I called only once to verify that they received everything (9/13/18) and it was. I received my email with my case number last week (10/4/18). I dont think that calling or not calling speeds anything up at all but anything is worth a try. I try to look at it as if I was doing my own paperwork in the NVC/USCIS. If someone kept calling and bugging me about the same thing (processing times) I would take even more time or put your folder at the back of my days work list.
