Medical Interview- 2 weeks expiration?

Today Omer called the American Hospital in Istanbul to schedule his medical interview, and they said it is only valid within 2 weeks of the interview date.

They asked that he send a form in to confirm that they set an appointment.

Is this correct? If the medical is done- say - 3 weeks in advance- it is not valid?

May 21 appeal approved- interview rescheduled for 5 July 2007

5 July 2007 interview!

July 10- Visa in hand!!!

September 26 2007- Omer arrives JFK POE

November 23 2007- Married!

February 23 2008 Finally sent AOS to Chicago

March 4 2008 NOA1 for all 3 AOS documents (rcvd from Missouri Center?)

March 26 Biometrics

March 28 EAD touch

March 29 RFE- Birth Cert. translation :(

April 8- RFE received; case resumed processing (at National Benefits Center)

April 11- Case transferred to California Service Center

April 29 - EAD and AP approved... finally honeymoon in Mexico!

May 29- AOS approved e-mail received!!!!!!

June 7- Greencard arrived in mail!

Never heard of that one, most consulates consider the medical results to be good for 1 year, though the closer to the interview the better, this will avoid having to do a new medical for AOS in the event that AOS happens more than 1 year after that medical.

The exam is valid for 1 year. They recommend you to do in 2 weeks of advance of the interview (so that you dont have the results delayed for the bid date). Maybe they got confused. Try to check out the information on the consular section.

14-02-07 NOA2

17-03-07 Packet 4 arrived

29-05-07 Successful interview. (We waited that long because my fiance travels a lot)

AOS

15-07-07 Wedding

14-08-07 Interview in OK City, AOS, EAD and AP

15-09-07 NOA for EAD and AP.(sep 13)and on 20-09-07 NOA for AOS. (sep 13)

13-10-07 AP received

17-10-07 Biometrics.

29-10-07 EAD received

28-11-07 Card production ordered

11-12-07 Green Card on hand.

Removing conditions

4-09-09 Send papers to VSC

8-09-09 Confirmation via FedEx (Same as NOA)

07-10-09 Biometrics appointment

20-10-09 Second biometric (29 was the date)
