So I was looking and well obviously a one way is always more expensive. If I buy a round trip and the return extend it to about 4-5 months or so the ticket will be almost half the price. Can this be done? POE won't fuss about it or make any remarks?

Thanks!!

That's fine. Just be sure to either cancel the return flight (refundable ticket preferred!) or change it to a domestic flight after entry. It's rare, but there are circumstances where the airlines reported somebody left the US on such a return flight, which would abandon your AOS application if you don't have AP yet (which you likely won't). It can be fixed, but it's a hassle and delay to do so.

CPB won't care.
