Hello,

For the Newark, NJ field office, what is the time between successful N400 interview and Oath ceremony, when I-751 is pending? Normally, Newark does same day Oath, but due to pending I-751, I do not think this will happen to me. I'm asking because my interview is on 13th Nov and I'm travelling out of country Nov. 29. My options are:

1. Re-schedule interview to a date after I return to US

2. Complete interview and re-schedule Oath to a date after i return to US

3. Complete interview and Oath, and then rush for US Passport, then apply for visa to India. However, this seems very unlikely to happen before Nov29.

Anyone complete N400 process with I-751 pending at Newark, NJ office?

Personal preference,

I would just get the oath done than go to India later date after you get your visa. You can expedite the Passport application to get it back in a week and than apply for visa and renunciation at the same time.

Unless it's an emergency for you to go to India, I would just finish the interview because you are all prepared right now. Who knows what date you might get if you apply for another time.

Thanks. I cannot delay the trip. Most likely will delay the oath ceremony.
