I finally sent in my 129F for my fiance and her child, 10/3/2018 and they will receive it on 10/5/2018

 

How long do you guys think until i will receive my NOA1?  to update my timeline?

 

And what are the main reasons people get RFEs?  I sent in 2 fotos for her... the photo the passport place in Mexico took wasn't 2x2, but it did meet the visa foto requirements (not passport requirements due to size), but I took one myself and got it printed at Walgreens 2x2, only it isn't as clear as the photo from the place in Mexico, its "clear" but is from a Samsung Galaxy s8+.  I asked if the one i took was clear enough at a passport agency in Mn and they told me they would send it in, but it could be denied depending on who looks at it.

 

Think this will be a issue?  Sent both so they can decide what to take haha.

usually takes a week or 2. sometimes longer.

 

if the photo does not meet the requirements stated on the petition, you may receive an RFE.

i 485, 130, EAD and AP

04/09/2019    NOA1 received/check cashed i 485 and 130 (direct adjustment)

11/7/2019      Interview- Norfolk

11/10/2019    APPROVED (notification rec'd 11/10, approval dated 11/8)

DONE FOR TWO YEARS!!! ;)

 

Filed everything ourselves with no RFE's or delays.

 

CR1 for Child under 21 (20 at time of filing)- Filed by LPR Spouse for his son

4/4/20     Mailed packet

4/12/20   NOA1 rec'd

10/14/21 (havent heard anything... when do i start to get worried?)

9/15/22 APPROVED! Now to wait for NVC and interview....

10/14/21 Mailed to AZ PO Box. Let the waiting begin. Again.

10/16/21 Received at PO Box

10/19/21 Received Text NOA1

i know the foto i took will definitely meet requirements, and the foto taken in Mexico is right size for head, its height is just under 2 inches, but length only about 1.5

 

 

I noticed an error... for her sons name...

 

I have his name as "Cristofher Eduardo Gonzalez"

 

His full name is... "Cristofher Eduardo Gonzalez Tolentino"..  I checked this petition over a good 6 times, if not more.. even in the USPS office before mailing it... even confirmed name spellings with my fiance, but we both missed that I completely left out "Tolentino" as it is on his birth certificate.

 

I was going off memory from in July when he son was hit my a motorcycle, and every time they would call for family they would say "Eduardo Gonzalez"

 

How do I fix this error?   I see it can be fixed when scheduling the interview but id love it if i can fix it as soon as I receive NOA1.. I want to avoid mistakes on their visa's, my fiance will not come over if her son is denied... which is understandable.

I feel kind of dumb for this mistake as i even had his birth certificate to verify everything after i typed it... which I even did....  Bright side, only mistake i see... downside.. its a entire name forgotten.
