I'm waiting to hear from the consulate

Does anyone know or been in the situation of waiting to hear back from the consulate? After our interview on 8/23/2018 I was told to submit a I 864 A, I did that a week after the interview the consulate has acknowledged that they received it but after that no communication. I see that our status of the case hasn't been updated since 9/7/2018. Any ideas of when we may hear back?

Have you tried emailing them? I’ve seen people say they emailed the embassy and got responses that way.

Hi I tried emailing them, I got a auto reply. I tried calling automated system gave me a number back in the States. Called that number another automated system, hung up on me. Called NVC on hold for over 37 min. Finally hung up because nobody was answering. I feel like I have hit a brick wall. 😥 my case hasn't been updated since September 7 😳 any suggestions from anyone??

Its in Administrative processing....what exactly does that mean? 🤔

AP means it’s under review. Don’t think NVC can help if your case is at the embassy. What was the auto reply? I’ve seen other ppl say they’ve emailed and got a response. Hopefully one of them will chime in. Scroll through the portal and try to reach out to someone else who has made contact with the embassy.

If has been over 48 hours, email them again. You should get a response.  It may be only to say they received your email.  Check your status. It was in early 2017 but our status updated to ready, then 2 days later to issued.

Heard back email said passed to an officer for final review, checked my status still says AP, only thing that changed was it had been updated as of 10/12/18 ugh!!

Yes!!! It has been issued. I registered with a courier service but have not yet been contacted I have no tracking #. Any advice what to do next??

Should be no more than a week after it says issued. My husband had his interview on a Wed, changed to issued on Fri after they received his medical and he got the email from DHL on Tues. Congratulations!!☺️

 

Sidenote: we just came back from JA last week and oh how I miss it😭❤️

Hi Angela thank you so much for the response, I will be looking out for the email. Now I know what to expect🙂. I will let my Hubby know. I've been to Jamaica so many times now, this last visit I was so mistreated by Jamaican customs makes me not want to go back for a while if my husband wasn't Jamaican I would consider going elsewhere.... 😟😣

How did they require you to submit the I864A? Was the by another appointment, drop off or email?
