I had my interview at London on Monday and was told that they were waiting on the medical results. I know they received the results on Tuesday, so does anyone know how long it takes for the visa to be issued after this? Also, will I receive any notifications about the approval before the visa is handed to the courier?

If you signed up for online notifications, you might receive notice before it's shipped off through a courier.

Are you talking about the CR/IR visa?

Yeah, CR1

Good luck! I did DCF for CR-1 so I'm not entirely sure if you would receive notice prior.

However, I processed my N-400 online and signed up for email notifications, so I did receive notice prior to receiving a letter about my approval.

London: Your CEAC status will say "Issued" once it's printed and in your passport. Then allow two days for it to get turned over to the courier for packaging and emailing you to say delivery will be the next day.

It just depends on when the interviewer gets back to reviewing the medical and passing on to the next step. It may not have reached his desk yet but hopefully so. Monday they are closed, but I would think you ought to get it by the end of next week. Don't make any plane reservations yet. Stuff happens.

Thanks! I’m very eager to start wrapping things up in the UK lol

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
