I got the interview notification and letter last April. My estimated time was 11 or 12 months. Now it’s showing a remainder of 4 months which will be in Oct. My husband applied 2 years ago and he was done with everything in 6 months. The processing time nowadays is really frustrating.  Are you applying based on 5 yrs residency?

Yes. I applied within that 90 days period before my 5th PR anniversary. I thought my case would be straightforward; have been working here full time and only gone outside US 3 times for short vacations. I also have TSA precheck so they have cleared me from a security perspective. I have not received the interview notification yet so that probably means my interview won’t be until at least August. It doesn’t make sense why people who applied in the same month have different interview dates. FBI and background checks cannot possibly take months. I also get these annoying monthly noreply emails that “there are still no updates and we are still working on your case.”

Yeah. I think they would really push our case to the end of the estimated timeline. Best of luck to us.

I share your frustration as well. The difference is I applied base on marriage, however, I don't think it should be taking this long! Sigh. I get the weekly generic emails about still reviewing your case and what not......... sigh!

Had my n400 interview today in LA. The officer was very nice and polite. I passed all the questions, etc., and he wanted to recommend me for approval but my I-751 is still pending. I thought this meant that I'd have a combo interview, but he said that it's handled by a different department and that he wasn't allowed to do those cases (even though he had the file on the desk). He only handled n400s. Frustrating, obviously, but the good news is that the 120 days clock is now ticking. He also took further evidence of our marriage (latest taxes, bank account, etc.) to add to the I-751 file.  I don't understand how some people have had combo interviews, but he wasn't allowed to do it, but there we are. One step forward, but more waiting.

Yeah same here. It would be great to have timeline of filing dates. There is one on this website but it is not updated.

I finally got my interview scheduled for July 15th. I field my N400 on April 17th,2018

Congrats! I got notification from Case Tracker App..it shows they scheduled my interview today. But when I logged in to their website, nothing changed. It still shows "we transferred your application to other uscis ".

I hope the case tracker app is accurate. 🤞

I filed n400 on October 16th 2018.

My I751 case was transfered twice in December 2018.

Got a stamp in my passport in January 2019, asked about my cases, was told that it is there at my local office and I should hear something by July.

All I have been hearing/getting is the generic emails that they are still reviewing my case. According to my timeline, I should be done by October 2019. '_'

My wife was successfully sworn in this Thursday. The ceremony was nice, smooth and only took about 20 minutes. The judge was kind and gave a thoughtful speech.

One word of advice for friends/family who are viewing from the galley - at least in Milwaukee, space was very limited. Please consider whether you *really* need to bring infant children with you. In fact, the clerk of court demanded that a number of people who *had* babies that they couldn't control leave the room because the screaming and crying was disrupting the ceremony.

Anyway, we're both very glad that this whole process is over. Only thing left is the passport!

Hi guys!

I will have my interview tomorrow but I have a question. Does my husband needs to come with me? He was selected for Jury Duty and I am a little bit concern about his absence to my interview.

Thanks for your help

So, guys, I have a question. As I posted before, I had my n400 interview in Los Angeles last week. However, my I-751 is still pending. I thought it was possible for officers to do combo interviews (and I have read before that people have had them at the LA office), but my officer said that I-751s are handled by different department. Is this true? If so, has there been a change in policy? Is it just at the LA office or across the country? Or was I supposed to have done something to make the combo interview happen? If so, what was it?

Only 20 mins?! Wow, that's great news. I'm keep hearing that these ceremonies last like 2 hrs... Mine is this Thursday in MKE. We don't have children and I honestly dn't understand why anyone would bring an infant or toddler with...

I just went to the post office. It turns out that you need an APPOINTMENT and you need to make it online. I will make on for Friday. I don't know if it's a new nationwide thing or a Wisconsin thing but we asked at several post offices (in the city of Milwaukee, as well as New Berlin and Shorewood) and they all said the same... Just FYI, in case you didn't know.
