It’s been 1 month and 8 days since I got approved and still waiting. I’m starting to think because I have name change that’s why it’s taking too long.. did you change your name also ??

I'm changing my name as well. But I only had my interview last week.

I hear that a name change shouldn't make the process longer. That's what the officer told me, and the same thing I hear from people who have changed their names. You will have to take care of all the other name change stuff (SS, IDs, bank etc) by yourself after the ceremony! The only thing is that you have to have a judicial ceremony. Some towns have more administrative ceremonies than judicial ones, and with a name change you can't go to an administrative one. My city has mostly judicial ones, so it's not an issue for me.

That’s good to know hopefully we all get an answer soon I’m tryna to change carriers too but waiting to start fresh with my new name I can’t wait but one day it will be over. Good luck to everyone!

I really want that date too. It's just before my birthday.... But I guess, it's wishful thinking, since my interview was 10 days ago only...

My oath letter that i got online shows 1pm time but the list from the court only shows oath ceremonies for 9am and 11am for that day. What should i do now?

I would call the courthouse first? Maybe they added an extra slot or changed the times, and the online pdf doesn't reflect it? Also, send a message to uscis?

Have called courthouse and the lady confirmed she only has oath times for 9am and 11am. I have sent a message to USCIS via the DHS website. Am so glad i double checked this otherwise was gonna get there and find an empty courthouse. Cant lie, am so annoyed right now

Wow! That's incredibly frustrating! They are so unorganized... I checked. They never do 1 pm ceremonies, only 2 pm ones, and there isn't even a 2 pm one on the 13th 😕 I hope they correct their mistake soon!

Goes from bad to worse, seems someone has read my email and noticed their error...my case status just changed back to oath ceremony will be scheduled...i am out of words

I personally would just take the Oath Ceremony notice they sent you and go to the 11am one. Go early and try talk to an ISO. Im sure they will be able to help you out.

i just don't wanna risk having my husband and myself take a whole day off work for nothing. Then turn back and have to take another again later. As annoyed as I am, i will just wait for a new date and/or time
