Can I ask what was included in those documents? We have a lot of evidence of our marriage (rent history, mutual bills, mutual bank accounts & cc-s, pictures, few examples of travel/tickets, I am debating on sending letters written by friends as I did for the GC and ROC, and of course our marriage certificate), but it is nowhere near 55, we literally sent in everything we had for the previous (GC and ROC) applications too...but 55 sounds crazy

I collect every piece of paper . I filed 751 forms that year and sent them 300 documents with our two names. this year it was also a lot . 7 machines on two behalf of this 7 titles and 7 registrations . 12 car insurance for two names for each month from the beginning of last year. home insurance 12 receipts for 12 months, membership in costco for two, membership in a Cycling club, medical insurance for two, Bank accounts for two, then also gave taxes for three years of transcription, 10 joint photos, marriage certificate, and many different joint documents came out more than 100 files together . and a certificate of his wife's previous marriage . a police report that no one is looking for me in my country . I think if in three months I find another documents then add them to my case

Omg. That's a lot. But I guess we live a pretty minimalist life so we don't have much. We rent (we are on our second place, and since most utilities are included, it is only our electric bill + internet for our 1st place, here even internet is included), we have 1 bank account (joint), 2 cc-s (joint). We filed taxes join (that's 2 forms since our marriage). There is the marriage certificate, of course. 2-3 letters from friends. Like 100 photos from our 11-year relationship but all in one document. Copy of his license and my ID with the same address listed (1 document), my passport (1 document). Proof of trips together (flighs, accommodations when we had it, we often stay w/ friends). A few copies of letters/cards addressed to both of us (1 document). Since I don't drive, the car + insurance is on his name which he had before our marriage and considering I don't have a license (not even an intl one, I never learned how to drive and refuse to), it would be kinda dumb to have it. We don't have an loans, mortgage, pets, or children. We have no previous marriages or children to report. We don't belong to any clubs or anything, I have a gym membership solo, but there is nothing else. So yea, I suppose some people live away complex life with much more stuff. Anyways, it was way more than enough for the green card application and they had absolutely no questions, so I can't say I am worried, I was just surprised seeing 50 documents...but wow, now I am even more shocked at 300.

7 - 11 would be WAY better. my birthday is in June and it is my dream to be a citizen by then. It's a huge stretch but one can hope...
Though I know several people who became citizens this or last year (some through marriage and some through work) and it took over 1 year for all of them... :(

I am a June girl too. Hello fellow Gemini.

For my city (San Antonio)  the wait right now is listed as 11.5 to 18 months. And I haven't filed yet. I am not sure if I can fit it into October as I am currently in the stress of buying my very first home. Just to stressed out to file right now. We'll see. How easy is it to update the address after you file and exactly where do you do it? If its not too big of a deal I'll just file. But I can't find a link in my online account for it.

yeah i think you are right. It just seems since this administration took over everything immigration is now a slog

Not just “seems”, uscis own data show how many things have seen noticeably slower processing times las year and this year so far vs the previous few years: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/historic-pt

n400 has basically doubled from just over 5 months a few years ago to just over 10 this year. I751s have gone from around 5 months to around 15 over the same time period.

Oh thank you. I have a ongoing I-90 so I'd have to file in any case. I was looking for that inside my account where I check the status. No wonder I couldn't find it there. Duh.

Thankfully if my move goes through, I still have access to the old address up to 2 months as I have to fulfill my rental agreement. Makes me feel better knowing that in case they update slow in the system, mail still gets to me.

Just not having the nerves right now to actually file the N-400. I am in freak out mode at the moment. But for other reasons of course. 😬

Relax :) You've waited long enough to decide on this. If you can't file in October, November will be fine too :) I qualify to apply late October, but it may not happen until early November depending on how hectic life gets. I had to change my address 2 yrs ago and I got every document just fine since. It is easy, don't worry about that! We actually moved states too and it was still fine.

UPDATE: Biometrics Experience (ASC - USCIS Seattle)

My Case Status says that the notice was sent last October 06 but haven't received it by mail.  So I went online on my account and saw that the Appointment notice was already attached, I printed it and decided to do early walk in. My appointment in the letter is "October 26, 2018".

I had no problem going to Seattle Field Office, after Security check, I went to the window for Biometrics and the guy working there mentioned that I came too early.  I said "I'm going out of town and I'm willing to wait".  He was very nice and stamped my Appointment letter and gave me a number.   Overall I only spent 15 minutes waiting and 5 minutes Biometric finger printing and I saved 2 weeks.  I don't know if it matters but I did it anyway :) and I timed it a little bit late so I won't be competing with those who have their appointments on that day.

Disclaimer: Every Field Office are different, so no guarantee if they let you do "Early Walk-In" prior to your Biometrics Appointment date.

N-400 (Online - Seattle Field Office)

(00days) 2018-10-01 Filed ONLINE - received Payment Confirmation the same day - paid by Credit Card

(04days) 2018-10-05 Received NOA by mail

(05days) 2018-10-06 Received email - Biometrics appointment is scheduled

(09days) 2018-10-10 Check my online account and my Biotmetrics Notification is attached and available

(11days) 2018-10-12 Biometrics (fingerprinting) completed - Walk-in no problem; saved 2 weeks (Original appointment date is Oct. 26)

(436days) 2019-12-11 I am US Citizen now!!!

I filed my documents on October 9 and then yesterday morning on October 12 received an invitation to surrender my biometric data))) I think to go on Monday and take fingerprints before ))) now the approximate time of my case was 9 months . I hope that after trips to the immigration it's time to decrease)) who else received an invitation?

HELlo everyone, I am getting my documents ready for N400 application. My question is, how can you upload the pictures? Is there an option to scan the pictures also? Cause all of my pictures are printed, but I wanna file the application online. And one more question about uploading the documents- can I organize them all and put them together as a dropbox file? Thank you and good luck to all of you
