My wife had her n-400  interview today in Milwaukee and passed - however, because the I-751 has not been processed yet and her conditions have not been removed, they will not proceed to finalizing the application or moving to the oath ceremony. And they cannot give any update on the I-751, or provide any type of additional stamp or extension letter until 30 days before the expiration of her current one.

Based on what the interviewer said, USCIS policy changed and they can no longer grant full N-400 acceptance as long as the I-751 hasn't been fully cleared through a separate process.

So, back to an endless waiting game.

Uh, that's not good news. I have my interview in Milwaukee soon. Do you know why they didn't do a combined interview for both cases. Most people seems to have a combi interview.

did they even interview her about the I-751 at all or didnt the officer have her file? When i interviewed there two weeks ago i  was interviewed for both.

Does it clearly say that you've been 100% approved for both online? And you are just waiting for the ceremony?

Did you ever receive a notice that her I-751 was transferred to a new office (NBC)? Or perhaps they missed that step?

It just says approved (was new card being produced before)

What do both of yours say?

its so funny i am now just remembering after the interview ended i recall the junior officer saying something about you will hear from us within two to three weeks. At the time i was just so euphoric i didnt commit it to memory  to ask why lol!. Now i suspect he knew i would be stuck on quality review for a while cos he didnt have the final say

I just received my 10 year green card in the mail today.

Hi everyone,

I have 2 questions for all of you who did the oath ceremony and got the passport.

First question- for all of you who got the passport at the passport agency, did they send you the passport or you need to pick it up from the same place?

Second question- I know that they take the original naturalization certificate, so did you get the certificate back together with the passport, if not, how long does it take to get the original certificate back?

Well, the Interview must have set some things in motion, because now my wife's I-751 status says Card is Being Produced, and her N-400 status says she's in line to be scheduled for the Oath Ceremony. :)

So, quick question for people who were approved for removal of conditions and citizenship so close together - did you actually receive your 10 year green card, or did they skip it and just schedule the oath right away?  If you did get the card, how long did it take between your case been approved and your receipt of the card?  I'm still a little worried because her current extension letter expires in the beginning of July, so we reeeallly want that green card ASAP...

i interviewed in Milwaukee 4/22. My I-751 said card being produced, then next day case approved. to date no card received. Extension letter expires in exactly 30 days so very anxious now :(

n400 said in line for oath and quality review in succession. No oath letter to date.

Guess it depends on a case by case basis

In the same boat here. Today marks 2 months since approval of I-751 and N-400. Still no Oath Ceremony date and no 10 year Permanent Resident Card. I called USCIS customer service a while back and they said it can take 60 - 90 days to get the Oath scheduled after your N-400 is approved. Lets hope we all dont have to wait that long. :P ha! (29 days to go!)

Sounds like we're in the same boat then, nompish. Have you called USCIS about getting another extension while you wait for the appointment? I think they'll give you an INFOPASS if you're within 30 days of expiration...

i have been reluctant to drive 120 miles and take a day off work to travel to and fro Milwaukee to get an infopass cos i thought my whole process would be over quickly after the interview. I don't know whats happening and am just praying i at least get the green card to cover me until they decide to schedule me for the oath, and the  green card is still nowhere to be seen. Its so frustrating. I have sent in an online inquiry for both cases today telling them my extension is expiring in 30 days. I doubt they will even care but am just hopeful it will make someone at least send me the green card...who knows

i still can't believe yours is taking so long. Do oath schedules for your city usually take this long?

No, there are San Diego filers in here who have had their oaths already and were approved AFTER me :P when you bring this up to USCIS they just respond with "every case is handled differently"
