7 days to go to my interview! i feel like i don't know anything lol! i was even asking my husband when we got engaged i don't remember anything!!!

LOL. You will be fine! They have 30 mins tops to get everything in, so they probably won't bother you with too many questions about your relationship :D Just make sure you know your husband's name, lol.

I can't wait to hear about your experiences. I finally have an interview date coming up a few weeks after yours. Thank god, you were right about MKE timelines. :)

Did you confirm that it's a combi interview? I didn't, I just assume/hope it is.

GOOD LUCK!!!!

Question for the ladies: What did you wear for your interview?

I have two choices: a suit (pants + jacket), just what I would wear for a job interview. OR nice jeans + suit jacket (obviously a shirt as well, lol). I don't remember if I opted for the suit pants or jeans for my green card interview, I just recall having the same debate. Would a full suit be too much? Would a nice pair of jeans be too casual even with a suit top? Since I work from home, I don't own business casual clothes besides the suit.

I honestly think the uscis website says no jeans for the interview. I have mine on Friday, I'm wearing black pants, white shirt and a necktie, treating it like a work interview.

I still didn’t hear anything about my interview.. even my extension for the green card gonna expire this month.. my question is if they schedule an interview will it appear first on my online account or I will get a mail first? Where are you? Is your office backed up? It will appear on your account the same time you get an email. You can always get another extension. Hang in there and be patient.

It appears on your online account first! First I got an email + online notice that my interview is scheduled. A day later, there was a copy of the notice letter (with the interview date!). I still haven't gotten my official letter in the mail yet, I expect it in the next days. Don't be too anxious though. Some states/cities seem to be super quick, others are much slower. I applied in November and I just got my online notice last week. Clearly, for some people it only took 1-2 months till their interview. Also, are you also an ROC/N-400 combi case? People who apply with a 10-year green card may actually take longer....

I am officially an American Citizen as of today and I'm so happy that this journey is OVER.

This is my experience in San Diego. I got there at 6:40am and there was already a really long line. They didnt start letting people in until 7:15am. They had a separate lane for family; they had to sit on upper levels. The house was packed!! They had a dance performance, they talked about passports, voting registration, had to watch a video by that orange idiot, sang the star spangled banner, did the pledge allegiance. I was out the door by 10:50am.

Apparently you're allowed to wear ripped Jean's for anyone who is curious about what they should wear.

Good luck everyone!!

My interview is tomorrow in Fairfax, VA. Mixture of excitement and nerves. I'll post about the experience when I get home afterwards. I'm treating it just like an interview, I'll be wearing a shirt and necktie.

Huh, I totally understand. Fairfax is cool, I used to live in Vienna, VA.  Good luck tomorrow and let us know how it goes. :)

MKE sent me a letter after i had made an online query on whether it will be combi interview. Their answer isn't really helpful (they just say ask your interviewer during your interview which is rather lame) but from what i have seen from previous combi filers it looks like it will be a combi interview nonetheless. Will let you on Monday.
