Good luck as well! And yes, I will definitely keep you posted.

Hey! So I was on another website and I saw some filers were saying that their estimated wait time was changed to "We are taking longer than expected to process your case. You do not need to do anything at this time." instead of having the usual months left. I checked my status and it said the same thing, it no longer has estimated case completion is in "8 months". What about you? I am freaking out right now.

Love your confidence. :)

I spent some time at the weekend scanning and printing, got nearly all of my documents together. Just got our latest  bank statement to go, and will do that on the 1st. I haven't even thought about what to wear,  guess it should something smart.

From what I can gather, there are 10 sets of 10 questions and the IO will (if it's your first time) randomly select question list 1,2 3... or 10. Does anyone know if questions are in the book order?

My other half has been bouncing around the official civics book, asking questions in random order. I've been surprised at how many times I've nearly slipped up as I seem to be also memorising answers in book question order. LOL. So for instance when I hear 'name one state that borders Mexico' ahead of 'name one state that borders Canada' I almost say 'Maine.' Doh.

LOL! well thats very nice of him! he should wake you up at 2:00am and start asking you questions. See if you can answer them then! :P I don't even know if this is a bad thing but my wife hasnt helped me at all with this process 😂 to her defense tho, i have never asked for help and im pretty sure she just thinks im gonna get all the questions correct any way haha! I just finished printing my last bit of evidence. Yesterday we renewed the AAA registration and Car Insurance so i printed those 2 out and then a fresh copy of my Selective Service Registration. I think i am good to go! My interview is on Thursday but im thinking i want to take wednesday off just to go over everything and do my last bit of studying since I dont think ill have time to do any of that on Thursday since i wont have anyime! Interview is at 9:30am

Mine changed too.....but I already have my interview date set. I bet this is a standard thing and not meant for everyone. Kind of like the whole case transferred thing on i751s this time last year. I wouldn’t worry too much.

@a.t.j24 and @Xfiles good to hear that you guys are almost there but I certainly am not since I have not gotten an interview date or anything. I actually just received a bi weekly email update saying that they are still reviewing my case and I do not need to do anything at this time. Also, I am not applying based on marriage (K-1/I-130) I applied based on being a 5 year GC holder so maybe that is why you guys heard back so soon. Anyways thank you guys for commenting back you have helped me to calm down a little. Good Luck! Please let me know if you receive any other updates.

Hi everyone!

Does anyone know if we need to take two passport style photos to the interview? It seems like it is not needed because they took our pictures at the biometrics appointment...... But i dont know... im deathly afraid i arrive for the interview and they ask for these and so im wondering if i should just go get some pictures taken for just in case?

Or am i just going crazy? getting kind of nervous that i leave something that i need off the table.

Any insight \ help is appreciated!

I checked the processing times for my local office and saw that the processing times changed from 8 months to 15 months and as someone said, instead of seeing the estimated time in months, its now saying that it's taking longer than expected, you do not need to do anything at this time.

It's super discouraging!! Good thing I got my passport stamped so I  can travel to Jamaica in May.

I don't have too much faith in that wait time estimator.  Last week mine said estimated completion time- 5 months, even though my oath ceremony is a month from today.  And I just went and checked and it has changed from 5 months to "We are taking longer..."   So take it with a grain of salt, maybe.

It may not be a bad thing that your wife hasn't got involved. When I first asked my husband to test me, he went off-book and wanted me to explain stuff in a lot of detail, like everything the constitution means and why it's so important... and what was George Washington's shoe size. LOL I had to explain that the IOs don't want you to impress them that way, they want short answers - they have to write everything down.

You sound very prepared and ready, your evidences are super squared away. Do you think you'll have time to post on Thursday and let us know how you did? I'm very excited for you.

My interview on Tue 12 March is at 8:30am, and we're currently forecast an ice and snow storm. That's making me super nervous, maybe I should take the day off before as well. I was going to study the night before you've got me thinking now...

Your husband wants to make sure you are on top of your game if you want to become an American ;)

Yes I will pop in here and give an update after the interview. I cannot guarantee a time yet since ill be out and about that day but definitely by that evening at the latest.

I usually hit the gym after work and so I know I will be super tired and the last thing im going to want to do is go over the questions for this test on Wednesday! Rather just take the day off and do my last bit of studying \ finalizing all evidence \ documents needed.

I asked a question on this forum earlier which everyone seemed to miss :( but do you think we need passport style photos? I still cant wrap my head around if we need this or not. I am going with that we dont need them i would just like someone else to confirm :D

Here's my view anyway! I'm not planning on taking two passport style photos to the interview, only because...

  1. I can't find anywhere that it's requested
  2. I'm off to Walgreens after my interview to get 2 pics done so I can apply for my USA passport (doing that asap after the oath ceremony  - need the certificate for the passport application)
That's going to cost around $15, so I only want to do it once. I know it doesn't sound like a lot of money, is more the faff of getting the photos done correctly and sized right. I am hopeless trying at home, takes forever and I don't want to muck about. :)
