What happened next? Curious to know what what time the oath ceremony really is! :)

So another example of USCIS can't get their $#it together...

My Oath was scheduled for March 26 at 1 pm at the George Eastman Museum.  I happen to know the director of special events at the museum so I reached out to him to find out more about what goes on and some logistics.  He said "Oh yes we do it twice a year it's really cool but they're really bad about communications.  You show up at 8:30...".  Wait.  8:30?  My ceremony is at 1 pm.  "No, that's impossible they're always morning events."  He checked the museum schedule and confirmed it's a morning booking, reached out to the judge who also confirmed he is booked for a morning ceremony. The judge is going to contact USCIS to see what's going on. Wouldn't that have been fun to show up to the ceremony to find out it had already transpired earlier in the day?

@NeedMoreCoffee 1 week today!

So excited. :)

How's the study going? I now get my husband to test me every day and for some reason, there's two questions on the colonists that I'm getting mixed up. Worrying me the more I worry about it, the more I worry about it, the more I mess it up. LOL.

USCIS called me yesterday to tell me they had made a mistake on my letter and that the ceremony was at 9:30 am.  So glad I checked with the Museum otherwise I would have shown up after the event was over!

Greetings to all! I just filed online and am looking for some answers. I searched SEVERAL threads, but couldn"t find anything similar...

WILL GREATLY APPRECIATE any feedback!

Firstly, the "case status" page says the receipt notice was emailed to me. But the only email I got was the automated email about my payment. I see everyone here talks about getting emails and it makes me worry...

Secondly, the message on my online account reads the following:

Estimated Case completion time (14 months)

We received your application
You submitted your application on xxxx

We will begin reviewing your application by conducting a background check in order to identify any issues that need to be addressed. We will schedule a biometrics appointment to collect your fingerprints. We will also review your application to make sure you have submitted all of the required information and documentation.

      And down in the bottom:

- Estimated Wait time - 3 months

is that a normal message? What issues are they talking about? My case should be very straightforward.  My ROC was approved, we had our first baby, submitted a lot of evidence.

Also, what is that 3 months wait time? is it to get the biometric appt  date?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Went with spouse because it was combo interview. I looked at a lot of prior approval cases on VisaJourney and saw it was a common trend for some IOs to interview you and your spouse for the I-751 part of the combo interview. So I asked my spouse if she could come with me for the interview. At interview, I saw that some IOs didnt ask the spouse to come in to the office; they only asked the applicant to come in. So I guess it just depends on your IO.

did you have two interview right? and first time did you same with wife? now 4 weeks after my interview and no body call me again

Woohoo! Sorry for late reply! I just got back from Texas for a work function and so I was away from the forum for a while! Studying is going good i guess! I havent actually looked at the stuff in about a week just because I am pretty confident I am going to do well with the Tests. The last time i looked at those sheets i was able to get 100/100 very easily and so Im not stressing too much about it! I will definitely go over it atleast 2 times before the interview just to make 100% sure ive still got all the questions memorized.

I am sure you will be fine in the tests! just try to get those two colonists questions memorized  :P you can do it! :D :D

I have prinited all the latest evidence and stuff like that i need for the interview so im pretty much good to go! the only thing i need to do is to pull out my suit and dust it off :D that is burried somewhere in a box underneath piles of other clothes!

So idk if they ask for w-2 but i did attached online my irs tax forms.!

The thing is that I do have a lot of entries to the us, in the last couple of years 74 I believe, but they all trips that i take on the weekends some times no more of 24 hrs however I believe that is the reason my case hasn’t get the final approval yet.! Maybe they think I didn’t live on the us or maybe I stayed longer than 6 months in total. But I wasn’t..!!!!

i do have a job here and pay rent and utilities every month i do cross the border yeah (every other weekend), but maybe just maybe thats the think that is holding my application even that has recommended for aproval at the interview.!

However today I decided to upload my w-2 forms for the last couple of years to give proof of recidency?  I mean i think is a proof of recidency right?  Do they look at documents uploaded after interview? U guys think it was worth to upload them?

Still waiting for oath ceremony (final aproval letter) or (online update)

Love your confidence. :)

I spent some time at the weekend scanning and printing, got nearly all of my documents together. Just got our latest  bank statement to go, and will do that on the 1st. I haven't even thought about what to wear,  guess it should something smart.

From what I can gather, there are 10 sets of 10 questions and the IO will (if it's your first time) randomly select question list 1,2 3... or 10. Does anyone know if questions are in the book order?

My other half has been bouncing around the official civics book, asking questions in random order. I've been surprised at how many times I've nearly slipped up as I seem to be also memorising answers in book question order. LOL. So for instance when I hear 'name one state that borders Mexico' ahead of 'name one state that borders Canada' I almost say 'Maine.' Doh.
