I was hopeful that I might hear something in January about either of my cases, but that's diminishing as each day passes. I'm still studying daily though. Now I just keep rotating in blocks of 20 questions from the official test book. Some days just 20, others maybe 40. Takes less than 10 minutes. Hopefully that way it'll all stick in my head, even if the test is 6+ months away.

I am finding it helpful to read and answer each question out loud so I can get used to the verbal on-the-day test format. Trick is finding a quiet place, or someone who is willing to test me.

Congrats on your 3 years. :) Mine is 22 Jan.

Looking forward to hearing about interview notices!

I'm all in for the 3-year club!

Logic tells me not to expect to hear anything until at least 22 Jan, as I don't think I can be interviewed until I hit the 3 year marker. But I dunno. My other half has been on at me to study, and others who've gotten their citizenship (based in Wichita) seem to think I should hear any day now. Got my hopes up a bit. LOL

I sort of want to get an Infopass and see if I can get an update from an IO, but maybe I should just wait.

Good to know I'm not alone! :) :) :)

Ive also been wondering about the "We are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time" emails. I havent changed any settings online anywhere and all of a sudden i am not getting these updates anymore. the longest ive ever waited for these emails is 13 days. sometimes i wait 10 days, 11, 12. but its almost a month now and i havent seen an email like this. Im wondering if they are prepping a  "We have taken an action on your case and it needs your attention" email for me :D im not sure if anyone else experiencing the same type of thing.

Come to think of it, I haven't had any 'the update is no update' emails in quite a while, and they used to come in every 10-14 days.

You're not alone. Maybe we're in different stage now and we'll get an interview notice! Someone on the November 2017 I-751 forum got a GC approval today, and they are 2-months into an N400 submission, which makes me wonder if I will be a combi or not.

Now that I'm nearly 3-months in the N400 wait, and 15 months waiting on my 10 year GC, I'd really like to get my GC. I just want something official and positive to happen... and soon (just like everyone else).

I saw that and it frustrates me so much. We have been waiting so long and people who filed after us are getting approvals...so annoying

do you know if they got transferred to NBC? i unfortunately think NBC is just holding our cases for now while we wait our n-400 interviews. one thing that i do think is happening is that their local office is Santa Ana CA which takes extremely long to process N-400's so NBC would run into problems if they held their application. Our interivews may just be around the corner and so thats why they sent ours to NBC. I could be wroing tho.

Santa Ana has 13 month processing minimum for N-400. maybe they knew they would never get that done in time before his I-751 receipt notice puts him out of status because due to the extension time.

I'd really like to know if any I-751/N400 filers who were recently transferred to NBC have had their GC approved. I don't know if NewKid's case was sent to NBC like ours, I might drop into that forum and ask.

If anyone is touching our cases that would be a good thing. Do you think that Santa Ana would be that proactive on combi cases? That would be reassuring.

I honestly think they are transferring in whatever manner they think will reduce the i-751 backlog. Since our local offices (yours and mine) process N-400 fairly quickly, our I-751 cases were transferred to NBC. Santa Ana is so far behind with the N-400's even after waiting so long, the I-751 would expire and so i feel like they would just process that to get it out of the way.

I asked the poster of he/she got transferred, (no response as yet) but your theory makes sense. My official case completion time started at 22 months and I think it's down to 18 months now but the field office processing times is between 6.5 and 13.5 months. Go figure! I think @nompish has a silly long lead time too.

If I'm still feeling this way by mid-Feb, and haven't heard anything, I'll probably make an Infopass to try and find out if my local office has my case(s) and what the state of play is. I last did this back in March (almost a year ago). Though it was sobering to hear that nothing was happening and wouldn't for the next year, it did set my expectations and I stopped hoping for news.

I would love to hear some good news from the people I've been on here with the longest. I'm hanging in.... :) :) :)

Passed my interview this morning. Got the first six questions right so those were all I was asked. They're short on attendees for the oath ceremony on Thursday so asked if I'd "volunteer" for that one instead of waiting a month. Um, yes. I would very much like to be done. So by Thursday I'll be a citizen.
