N-400 October 2018 Filers

Screaming won't help. In fact, the time the poor agent spends on the phone will slow the USCIS process down that much more for everyone. It's not the agent's fault that things are taking so long. Plus, you'll catch more flies with sugar than vinegar!

 

You might try asking for them to check the status of the application. They can do a check every 30 days on it, but imho it's not worth if it's within standard processing times.

I think you could take the trip. The extension letter covers you, and my husband has never even had to show it. The info's pretty much in the system anyway - don't let the process keep you from visiting! Just allow extra time at the airport.

I filled online on October 5 and the Bio app was on October 26 at Raleigh NC office.  i will have an interview on January 3rd  2019.i was not expecting that fast.

Congrats. I filled in Charlotte Nc and it said 9 months. Hopefully I can get it soon

Boy, I want to be happy for those who are getting interviews and all, but the discrepancy in the speed of application processing borders on the cruel. And the cynic in me sees a stark rural/urban divide in turnaround times. It's not like we don't all pay the same fees...

Agreed. Some offices like Atlanta has serious backlog .... guess we will just have to be patient 👍

Well....we got an email Friday and had an issue logging into our account....but today we were able to get in to our account and WE HAVE AN APPOINTMENT!!!!!  January 14th, 2019 in the city in which we live....Jacksonville, FL!  

 

To the people who haven't heard yet.....our case said 12 months but we filed Oct. 23rd and our interview appt is less than 90 days later...so keep your head up, it will probably go faster than it says on your USCIS account.
