Really? I know several (7-8ish) people in Wisconsin became a citizens in 2017 or 2018...most through marriage and some non-marriage (H1B -> green card route). It took all of them over a year. For my mom and her husband it took about 14 or 15 months I believe (H1B/green card route) and they became citizens in January 2017 when things were faster. I doubt it will take only 6 month, but I am praying that it won't take more than a year and I am also hoping that somehow at least they approve the ROC early 2019... I wouldn't put too much faith into the estimate though, it means nothing...

I stand by what i said cos i have talked to a few combo filers in WI who got interviews within 6 months of filing. One actually has an interview next week. On the other hand you could be correct, it is what it is

I filed for N400 this morning. :) Can't believe it's my 1-year anniversary since filing the I-751.

I keep bouncing on and off https://my.uscis.gov/account to see if anything's happening yet. Don't know what I'm expecting, a chorus of angels to herald my submission perhaps. LOL

Me too! I only uploaded everything a few hours ago, and my wife is like, why are you checking that again for the 100000000000th time? ;)

I got my Biometrics Appointment for November 23, but I did a walk in at my Houston ,TX ASC yesterday.  There was literally no one in there! I was in and out in 5 minutes.

Hi all! I am an october filer as well. Sent mine online on 10/23/2018 at 7am, got NOA that same night and schedule for biometrics on 10/27. Will be doing an early walk-in for biometrics on Monday, 11/05 (10 days early). Estimated completion is 12 months but I’ve been reading other threads stating that completion dates are extremely inaccuarate! So that gives me hope that we’ll be done earlier than expected. Good luck to all! 😊

We almost have the same date of filing, except that my biometrics will be  on Nov13. I did not know that we can just walk in earlier. Yes, goodluck to us. I am starting to be angst, hehehe

Hello Guys I am about to file N-400 Online and there is no November thread yet so wanted to ask You some questions in regards to documents. What documents are you submitting along with the form???? I am going to include Copy of my GC, Marriage license, husband's  copy of the passport , copy of his Naturalization certificate, Tax transcripts of last 3 years filed together , 1 checking account that we have  together and car and health insurance together. Also IRS changed security of tax transcripts and now it shows only last 4 digits of out both Socials and 4 first letters of my last name. Has anyone noticed it? Are they gonna be ok with it? Also when applying online it asks me for ELIS number that I don't have and should I skip it or register ELIS number if I don't have it??? I am so lost any advise would be appreciated.

Hi there!

We submitted copy of GC, marriage license, tax transcripts from last 3 years, shared checking and savings accounts, car insurance, and mortgage bills. I didn't notice that about the tax transcripts but if it came from the IRS I wouldn't worry too much. We didn't have an ELIS number either so we didn't put anything.

Good luck!

Does the officer take the expired green card when you get a stamp in the passport to renew the driver license ?

I had an info pass appointment today to get a stamp in the passport which I got it for one year from today even my extension letter expires January 2019. But the officer took the expired green card ( 2 years GC ).

We submitted the N400 in October and did early biometrics today also.

they asked for the green card and told them that the officer took it today but I had a stamp in the passport.

Question. How long after you filed online did it take to receive biometrics appointment?

those of you that walked in, do you wait for the original appointment letter and then go? Or just go at any point after you file??

thanks in advance!

I applied on 10/17. Got an email on 10/20 saying they'd scheduled my biometrics. The letter with the date showed up a couple of days later - 11/6. So 3 weeks between application and fingerprints.

Hi everyone,

I applied on October 2nd with a expired green card and extension until January 20th, 2019. I just received today that my 10 years green card is approved 😊

Should I submit I copy of it to my online submission, once I receive it? Or just wait for the the interview to tell them I have a 10 years green card now ?
