For my local office having just less than 4000 pending applications actually gave me hope that this process could be completed in 7 months at most. I don't see how it could go on for the 17 months i see on my USCIS account.

But if they have 4000 pending and they are doing around 1000 a quarter, that’s still about a year to go for you surely if they maintain the rate of work they’ve been doing? We have 28k pending but they seem to do about 6k a quarter

Hi all! I am an october filer as well. Sent mine online on 10/23/2018 at 7am, got NOA that same night and schedule for biometrics on 10/27. Will be doing an early walk-in for biometrics on Monday, 11/05 (10 days early). Estimated completion is 12 months but I’ve been reading other threads stating that completion dates are extremely inaccuarate! So that gives me hope that we’ll be done earlier than expected. Good luck to all! 😊

I went to my biometrics appointment October 15th, my case shows " case is being actively reviewed by uscis" I guess it's a good thing, right? Estimated time 11 months. I'm hoping it'll be less than that bc I need to travel next year for a couple of months 🤞🤞🤞🙏

N400 paperwork mailed and received in Texas on the 22nd October.
Check cashed on the 26th and on the 2nd November I received by mail my Biometrics appointment which is the 14th November.

All paperwork received so far still has my case number as an IOE number.  Hopefully that'll soon change so I can see which place is servicing the application.

My wife submitted her N-400 application at the very end of October..her estimated completion date isn't until May 2020 😠

thats more or less the same estimate i got. But i can tell you most people in Wisconsin get an interview within 6 months of applying. It started at 20 months, then moved to 17 months and today it changed to 16 months. So i wouldnt put too much faith in this estimated completion time at all.

I believe everyone who had submitted their N400 in October has already received at least their biometrics appointment dates, so you should at least get that soon. :)

Really? I know several (7-8ish) people in Wisconsin became a citizens in 2017 or 2018...most through marriage and some non-marriage (H1B -> green card route). It took all of them over a year. For my mom and her husband it took about 14 or 15 months I believe (H1B/green card route) and they became citizens in January 2017 when things were faster. I doubt it will take only 6 month, but I am praying that it won't take more than a year and I am also hoping that somehow at least they approve the ROC early 2019... I wouldn't put too much faith into the estimate though, it means nothing...

What I have done is gone back to precious threads such as january\april\july 2018 N-400 filers and tracked people that are at my same local office and see how fast their processes has taken.

For my specific case I have seen that these 3 individuals all got their interview notices around 3 months after applying for the N-400.

jan filer - 2 months 21 days from application sent to interview letter
apr filer - 3 months  9 days from application sent to interview letter
jul filer   - 3 months  3 days from application sent to interview letter

So I am looking for around the same amount of time to recieve my interview notice.
