to ease my stress i have told myself to only expect news from March 2019. I dont want to go through the longing looks at my case status online or the disappointment of expecting something in the mail over the past 12 months ...so i pep talked myself into generally ignoring my case unless i get an email or text update

Maybe this is a long shot, but are there any there any there Iranians on here who have their 10-year GC and are applying for the N400? My husband submitted his and has his biometrics appt. soon but obviously it'll be a long wait for the interview. He wants to travel back home to visit his family but doesn't know if it's safe right now to leave the country, let alone go to Iran where he could end up being detained there or not let back in the country here. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks.

July 2014 - Married in Seoul, Korea

Interesting....more are approved then received so obviously those came in during a time period prior to data being gathered.  It would lead me to believe that the received applications were slowing down but I guess that’s impossible to say for sure.

You'd probably get better info on this from one of the threads about travel ban countries elsewhere on VJ?

Seeing a history of say 4 years would be useful - there was a lot of talk about an increase in N400 applications after Trump came in. If that did actually happen and things are getting more back to normal now, that would also explain this observation.

For my local office having just less than 4000 pending applications actually gave me hope that this process could be completed in 7 months at most. I don't see how it could go on for the 17 months i see on my USCIS account.
