Yup, I got given a glossy booklet (which I’ve already read haha), and the friendly lady who did the actual fingerprinting gave me a big smile and said “you’re going to be a citizen!!” Oakland ASC is awesome!! I was in and out in like 7 minutes!

wow. its really nice to meet people who are encouraging like that. especially when they dont even know you.

We filed!!!

Just curious, when did other Oct. 2018 N-400 filers start the immigration process?  We started 11/5/2013.  It's been almost 5 full years since we submitted an I-129F.  Seems like an eternity ago.

I filed for N400 this morning. :) Can't believe it's my 1-year anniversary since filing the I-751.

I keep bouncing on and off https://my.uscis.gov/account to see if anything's happening yet. Don't know what I'm expecting, a chorus of angels to herald my submission perhaps. LOL

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Current status: UK and USA citizen

12-Mar-19: I-751 (WAC18026) + N400 combi interview

Outcome

16 Mar-19: I-751 ~ Green Card in Hand (from submission to card delivery, 17 months)

19 Apr-19:  N400 ~ Naturalization Oath Ceremony, certificate in-hand! (from submission to oath, 6 months)

1 May 19: Voter registration card in-hand

3 May 19: USA passport in-hand

11 May 19: New SSN card in-hand

yeah that part and the conditional green card were a breeze for me. Had my green card in less than 3 months. But since filing for removal of conditions its been a nightmare! Hope N-400 goes much better!

Literally every single step for us has taken forever.  We've done everything they've asked of us, in a timely manner and with plenty of documentation.  I don't know why everything has taken so long.  Thankfully my wife doesn't even care that much about it....I'm the one who stresses, researches and follows up with everything.  You are literally to the day, 2 years faster than us.

Hmmm...I don't have a 'my documents' tab yet at https://my.uscis.gov/account/  Maybe I'm being too impatient, and it'll show once USCIS have processed my biometrics apt? It does say it can take 48 hours.

Anyone know when the 'my document' tab appears?

I am so impatient! Gawd knows how I've managed to retain my marbles for a year for precisely nothing (as far as I know) to happen with my case. At least I'm not alone and there are plenty who have been waiting longer than me.

There's something exciting about being on day 1 of the N400 journey as opposed to day 365 of the I-751. :)
