I downloaded the biometrics appointment letter from the online account but still havent received the same letter via mail. The experience wasnt anything unique. They did not ask why I was there early but I preemptively told them I was about to travel and will miss the appointment date shown in the letter and therefore I walked in early. They said okay and we proceeded to the actual processing. 5 people in front of me, fingerprint scanning, photo, show green card, stamp the appointment letter and out the door. In and out the door in 20 minutes or less.

Thank you for sharing

I am lazy to do a walk in coz i figure 10 days wont make a difference to me. Are you planning an early walk in? when is you bio scheduled for?

i'd like to do an early walk in just to get the ball rolling faster (im not sure if getting it done sooner will speed things up but im going to try anyway) i dont have a bio date yet. im expecting to get it within the next few days or so. I have no travel plans or anything that is preventing me to go on the actual day. i just want to do an early walk in :D my excuse will be i work out of the area and i was in the area today so i thought i might stop in and try get it done and see what they say. worst thing they can say is go away and ill just have to come back on my scheduled day.

lol! go for it.

I have been in contact with a combo filer from my State and looking at other similar filers from Wisconsin it looks like they schedule an interview between 5 and 6 months after filing the N-400. I hope this holds true (prays fervently!)

ill keep you updated.. and i agree with you. 5-6 monhs is kind of the time frame i was looking at too. I have been following some San Diego N-400 filers and ive seen one person get it done in 3 months haha! but for the most part. a lot of them have been getting it done around 5 months.  we will see tho! I would think they need to jump on the N-400 applications faster because if they dont. our I-751's are just sitting their clogging up the system further delaying things for people who filed I-751 and who dont want to file for N-400

Hello to everyone, I am kinda confused.. I am going with a lawyer for the N-400 application. But I am a little confused- and I have a question for all of you who already filled the application online. Are you filing the application along with all of the supporting documents online? And when you submitted everything, did you get an email with the receipt or confirmation, or some other kinda proof that tou have everything filled online and paid? And one last qusetion- when you open the account after the subbmision- can you also see all of the documents you uploaded or no? Thank you

Curious, is your case complicated that you feel you need a lawyer?

The application tells you what you need to upload (in my case just green card and marriage certificate) and then suggests any further documents that you may want to (for example I have childeen and it suggested I upload their birth certificates, so I did).

You get an almost immediate email confirming submission with receipt number for payment. Of course if you have an abundance of caution like I do, you can always screenshot the webpage that confirms payment as soon as it’s done :)

to answer the question about documents, yes they are all available to see on your online account. I think I may have seen a link to upload more but as I don’t have any more to upload I didn’t really pay attention to that.

Hi to all!

I've been checking other N-400 filer and I saw this spreadsheet that everyone put their "Timeline" informations, and everyone keep theirs updated every time there's progress.

Kindly click the link and update yours and then highlight the link again "Copy & Paste' it back here so every one is updated too.

cheers,

I have added my info!

Could someone advise, please!

I am in the process of applying online and noticed that they require IRS CERTIFIED tax returns. is that right?? can I just submit our tax returns as we filed them, without them being IRS certified (like a copy of our TurboTax file?)

Hi,

There's the word "OR" so you don't need option b., you can do other option like option a. or  c.

cheers,

Thank you for your reply! I thought so too, but here is what it says under the Evidence about the marriage, right there, where you have to upload all your stuff...I am really confused...

Evidence about your marriage

Upload documents showing that you and your current spouse have lived as a married couple for at least 3 years. Make sure the text is readable. Some examples include:

  • Joint bank and credit card statements
  • Leases or mortgages
  • Birth certificates of children
  • Insurance policies
  • IRS-certified copies of income tax forms you and your spouse filed for the past 3 years or an IRS tax return transcript for the last 3 years

HELlo everyone, I am getting my documents ready for N400 application. My question is, how can you upload the pictures? Is there an option to scan the pictures also? Cause all of my pictures are printed, but I wanna file the application online. And one more question about uploading the documents- can I organize them all and put them together as a dropbox file? Thank you and good luck to all of you

I added my photos to a word doc and i will upload them as pdf.
