Hopefully will get the long awaited approvals very soon. 

I looked over in the Case Tracker and they approved one just 5 cases after mine and then another one 17 cases after mine.

 

Looks like it's pretty random.

 

My guess is all the October 2018 applications are with IO but some IO are fast some are slow. I can imagine the piles of papers on their cubicles.

What is the Case Tracker? I want to check mine too.

Yesterday I received a letter stating my approval, and it also says to not leave the country until having the new card in hands.  The letter states that if I do need to leave the country, I should call them and schedule to go get a passport stamp, but the stamp needs to be approved on a case basis. I’ll share the letter here when I get back home tonight as it might be helpful to know upfront - in case someone has a trip planned and it happens to fall between case approval and receiving new card.  

 

I never received any emails or text updates. I have to proactively login the app. But all in all, I’ll say I am a bit surprised with the updates and amount of information available to me this time around, compared to the AOS. The visa tracker app has been updated to “Card was picked up by the USPS” and they also provide the USPS tracking number so I can stalk where the card is.  It appears USCIS is adjusting to the 21st century.  

 

I am leaving the country for 1 week an my mail is currently on hold with USPS until I get back home. 

Is there anything I can do so the USCIS doesn't send me anything meanwhile?

Also, what is this visa tracker app? Could you send me the link? Sounds useful!

The photo of the approval letter exceeds the attachment size limit and does not post... so I’ll type their wording. 

 

“Congratulations! Your request for the removal of the conditional basis of your permanent resident status hasn’t been approved.  You are deemed to be a Lawful Permanent Resident of the United States as of the date of your original admission or adjustment of status.  

 

You should receive a new Permanent Resident Card, Form I-551 (green card), within 60 days.  Your card will include a mailer, Form I-797D, with important information about your status, responsibilities, and permanent resident services available to you. 

 

Please be aware that if you have legal representation and signed a Notice of Entry of Appearance as Attorney or Accredited Representative (Form G-28) AND you selected 2b in Part 4, Consent to Representation, Contact Information and Signature, that your Permanent Resident Card, Form I-551 (green card) will be mailed to your legal representative.  

 

You should not travel outside the United States before receiving your new card, as you may have difficulty reentering the United States. If an emergency arises and you have a need to travel outside the United States prior to receiving your Permanent Resident Card, you may make an appointment at your local USCIS office to request a stamp in your passport that shows temporary evidence of status as a lawful permanent resident. Please be aware that whether a stamp is issued is determined on a case-by-case basis by field office management.  To make an appointment at your local USCIS office, please visit www.uscis.gov.

I have always had iPhone and my case tracker app used to look like yours. A few months ago I deleted the case tracker app when transitioning to a new phone (needed more memory in the device for backup) and when I went to download it in the App Store, I couldn’t find the Case tracker app.  All I could find was the one with the eagle that I have now. 

Either way, having an app to check makes it convenient to check for updates 😉

I actually sent my application to the wrong center, California forwarded it to Texas. I’m an SRC filer. 

And I will let this forum know if and when I will be approved. Hopefully soon and hopefully soon for all of us that are still waiting.

No news is good news they say, we better believe it. I just hope we will get our approvals before the 1,5 year on the extension letter is over.

 

Also, I would like to apply for citizenship but as long as they have not responded to this I don't want to make things more complicated. I have no idea whether that would slow things down on their end. So I am just waiting.

Texas center here... And no news. I received a letter saying that they were going to reuse my biometrics, and the app shows the last update on April 15, Fingerprint Review was completed. 135 days since the last update.
