Currently waiting for my husband to complete his bio appointment. We were all worried about getting our schedules to work so we could both show up for solidarity or whatever and they ended up not even letting me in the building since I wasn’t the one with the appointment letter!

 

Hopefully it doesn’t take too long, it’s a lil toasty out here.

 

If anyone else on this forum happens to be stuck outside the Milwaukee USCIS office waiting for family, lemme know if you wanna grab a drink or something 😜

sorry to hear this. My local CIS office has a sitting area with a bunch of chairs where the relatives can sit and wait. When I did my 485 biometrics, my husband was not allowed to enter the camera and fingerprinting room, but he could wait outside in the sitting area. They should have some indoor space for you to sit and wait.

 

I hope there was a nice cafe nearby :)

That sounds like a good idea. I suppose that would likely depend on the layout and location of the local USCIS Field Office. For example, there is a waiting area inside the building here at the Seattle Field Office. However, the building is located in a rather "strange" part of town. I dunno what the arrangement was at the old downtown location, it sounded kinda sketchy....

Yes, that relates to the affidavit of support filed in support of the original sponsorship.

When we did our I-485 biometrics I was able to sit and wait in the main waiting room with him as well. This must be a new policy. There were a lot of spouses/family turned away and a lot of anger over it. I got a little sunburn but was fine, but I get for people who drove hours to be their for their loved ones, it would be be pretty frustrating.

 

Anyway! Case status changed to Fingerprint Review was Completed! Progress!

My biometrics app was on Wednesday 3rd. I’m surprised it was updated in the old site. No update in new site but I don’t care. Things are finally moving. I see people getting approved right after biometrics...praying
