I-751 OCTOBER 2018

I sent the I-751 package in October 2018. Received the NOA a month later. However the I-797 has only my wife's name. We still haven't received the biometrics appt. When I called USCIS, the agent said that he sees my Wife and Daughter on the application. They also cashed the application and 2 bio metric fee in October. The receipt number is LINXXXXXXX, so I am assuming that's Nebraska Service Center that's handling the adjustment of status. Is anyone in the same situation as my Wife's application or should I call and speak to a Tier 2. We are travelling out of the country in April and was wondering if the airlines will give us a hard time, when trying to come back. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hi guys,

I just want to let you know that our case is now visible on case status online. Before it said that it does not recognize and some error message.

We signed up on other www and created account. Which is working fine. But now we are able to see the progress on both sites.

I am not sure if this will help you somehow. Also not sure why it did not work before and now suddenly is working fine.

Maybe you can check it out if it works with your receipt number as well..:-)

No, No BIO yet. We have received 2 NOA1 identical letters after the phone call to DHS that GC has expired ( back in December, 2018 ).Our DHS account is showing that they received the case and BIO fee. Few txt messages from USCIS that they have our file and working on it. Nothing else. Now the case status online is showing the same as the DHS account.

We never received the BIO letter. I wanted to ask about it online but somehow cannot figure it out how. And I guess I am lazy to call...:-))

I think it is going to be a long process. Reading other forums maybe BIO and even interview will be waived. Depend on the couple and case, I guess.

Definitely weird! Hopefully they will send it soon. At least the bio appointment means they are making some progress?? I'd call as soon as 30 days passes since they texted you.

Hello, would you please let this group know what forums you saw that biometrics and interview are getting waived? I’m thinking that people want action and 18-24 months is a long time to wait with nothing happening besides getting the NOA1. For me, I know that if I could see other people reporting their newest actions on their cases, I would be reassured that things are happening somewhere. Thank you!

Hey there, it's been a while since I visited. I updated the applicant listings and took off myself and Morganandmichael off the unknown service centers and into the appropriate sections. Waiting to hear back from Brunochi2018. Also did some housecleaning with the column alignment, which can never be 100% perfect (sorry people high on the OCD side )

The info I've seen so far is from USCIS's latest guidance from a December 10 posting that said that USCIS officers may consider waiving the interview if they are satisfied that:

They can make a decision based on the record because it contains sufficient evidence about the bona fides of the marriage and that the marriage was not entered into in order to evade U.S. immigration laws;
For Form I-751 cases received on or after December 10, 2018, USCIS has previously interviewed the principal petitioner;
There is no indication of fraud or misrepresentation in the Form I-751 or the supporting documentation; and
There are no complex facts or issues that require an interview to resolve.

Hello sos & ogs: I am reading other forums here on VJ and can see that some people BIO`s has been waived/reused and the interview was never conducted. For example ROC filers from February 2018. I have copied their timelines and you can see it below. ..........No interview/approved/BIO reused.....

Yes, there's a good chance that if you went through biometrics for the first green card, that your biometrics data will be reused. The NOA states that same thing. I take it that many of us will be in that same position

You`re welcome. This was just the sample from other filers. You can see it yourself if you search it. Usually I just put month and year in to the search box on top right VJ web site and then i scroll down looking for ROC. Almost every group has some good/valid information. It just take time to read it all , but I don`t mind because some of the issues/help or stories are fascinating.

I strongly believe that VJ is a great site and community here really puts a light into every aspect and corner of our immigration process.

Hello,

i wanted to thank everyone on here for making the journey less stressful. I have done my biometric since September 2018 and received my NOA a month later but haven’t heard from them since then. The package was sent at Vermont service center. Any ideas on the workload of that service? When to expect some actions on my file.
