Usually u shud hear back about bio appt like immediately. Not more than 2 weeks later. You should call and find out

The California Service Center has not scheduled biometrics for anyone applying since April.  If your case is there, it will be way more than 2 weeks.  Vermont is on top of it, Texas and Nebraska are somewhere in between.

When you check your status at  https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do (is this even the correct page?)

what does it say?

Mine says error but it matches the receipt number and all. We received our extension letter (no biometrics yet) but wondering if this is normal.

thanks for helping!

Mine does not say "error" but it does not match the updated status (after my husband got his biometrics done) that can be found at this page when I made an account: https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/  Super weird that this is not updated automatically, so I would recommend making an account on the link I shared so you can track the status of your case.

It doesn't update as well, at least for my case. I just received my NOA but it still says the same thing on my USCIS account since the day I added my receipt number, which is "we received your case". So the only way that works for me to check my case is to regularly call their customer service.

Our case is the same. It doesn't work on the old website and on the my USCIS account it has "we received your case". We already received the NOA and completed the biometrics and still no change. Glad to hear we're not the only ones with this issue.

Hi everybody!

I have a question for those who got their biometrics appointments already.

The Nebraska Service Center is processing my case. I received a notification saying that the fingerprint fee was received 85 days ago and I received the letter with the 18 month extension in December. I am waiting for any news on the biometrics and I have filed a service request with USCIS, for which I should receive a reply by February 6. I am planning on traveling to Argentina by mid-February, so I will probably get a one-way ticket and just get my return ticket as soon as I receive a letter or anything with the date for the biometrics. How long do you have to wait between receiving the letter with the appointment date and the actual appointment? is it right the following week, a couple of weeks, a month? I'd love to get some info on this. Thank you in advance!!

Cynthia

So I finally did receive the I-797 notice. I had put in a service request early December, but I don’t think that helped. I filed online a non delivery of notice on January 4. Part of the email I received 5 days after filing is

Our records indicate that on November 1, 2018, we mailed you a receipt notice to the address on file at that time. You have indicated that you did not receive the notice. I read that the old website (https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do) works only for the receipt number you get from biometric appointment. Did you ever try it? I haven't had my biometric yet. It took more than 2 months for me to get NOA lol.

We also submitted an online inquiry on my wife's biometrics (her case is at the Nebraska Service Center) earlier this month and we just got the response today. However, it does not look like a 'real answer', right?

Hi pcke2000,

Thanks for your reply! It seems you and your wife will have to keep waiting for more news...
Our papers were received around similar times (for me: I-751 Received: 2018-10-26 //  NOA1: 2018-12-06). I am sure I am going to get a very similar reply. :( I hope we can get more news soon! Please, keep me posted on when you receive any info on your wife's biometrics and good luck!

Hi everybody.

Today it's been 91 days for me and I got this reply from USCIS:

The status of this service request is:

Biometric appointments are scheduled based upon set protocol related to each petition and their associated processing times.  You will be scheduled for and notified of an appointment at the appropriate time.

We hope this information is helpful to you.

So, I am in the same boat as @pcke2000! @alexpop13, good luck with your reply!

I might submit a service request again just to see if I can get any more news within the next month. Is anybody doing the same (submitting a new service request right after they receive a reply)?

Thanks!

Hi Everybody,

I have a question about our pending ROC. My wife and I filed to remove my GC’s conditions back on Oct 2018 in California. Being said,  we submitted our evidences of relationship the past 2 years. On Nov 2018, I went to Washington state to study in healthcare (less expensive & better program) while my wife (USC) travelled abroad for two months and then went back to our address in Cali. I decided to stay for another 6 months here in WA to build working/training experience before I move back to California. We both think that  this is a good idea. Now, the WA State Dept of Health is asking for FBI finger prints to be taken here in Washington state. I went to a Washington police station and had my finger prints taken. Now, they told me to use the address of where I am staying while in Washington (which is my aunt’s address with whom I’m staying temporarily for the next 6 months). My wife and I are still in close communication. In fact I am going to CA for a quick trip to see her mid Feb. My question is, will this affect our pending removal of conditions or trigger anything with USCIS? I still consider CA as my main address and the documents we submitted to file ROC all contained info of our CA joint address. I’m just temporarily studying, working, and getting finger prints taken here in WA. Any thoughts and knowledge in the matter would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks!

I didn't submit anything but I got a mail today from USCIS saying the exact same thing 🤷🏻‍♀️ I thought that was my biometric appointment. Sad.
