Hey all! I'm new to the thread.  We filed my husband and stepkids I-751 this month.  It arrived Oct 3. Check cashed Oct 10.  Haven't heard anything else.  Does anyone know if biometrics appt comes with the extension letter or soon thereafter?  

 

My husband and step son go back to the DR during the winter.  They'll need to buy tickets soon, but we'll have to work around appts.  I'm hoping to know before we buy!

It might take up to a month till the biometrics appoinment comes. Nothing's for sure. But some of the September filers who sumitted their packets in the beginning of September have had their appointments this week.

Thanks!  Do you know how far in advance they let you know?  Last year they didn't fly back until mid-december, which seems like it could work out.  Like when the biometrics appt letter is received, is the appt generally a week out, 2 weeks, a month?  

 

I know there probably no "generally" and nothing is set in stone.  But waiting too long to buy tickets for before christmas is going to get expensive! I guess it'll be what it will be...

My update: Two weeks after receiving our rejected petition packet, we rectified the issue in the 751 form, fine-combed it and resent it yesterday 10/18 with FedEx overnight. Now expected to arrive by Friday 4pm.

Dec   3, 2018: USCIS NOA1 letter with 18month extension received! 😍(notice was dated Nov 29)

Νov 28, 2018: USCIS email received with confirmation of 11/27 call, case at this time processed in NE and estimate of NOA1 email or letter to be received in next 15 business days

Νov 27, 2018: USCIS rep submitted new request for duplicate NOA letter

Oct 25,  2018: Got notified that check was cashed! 😄

Oct 19,  2018: Delivery in Texas lockbox confirmed

Oct 18,  2018: Re-mailed out I-751 for removal of conditions

Oct   4,  2018: Packet returned with rejection NOA1 due to missing signature 😓

Aug 17, 2018: Delivery in CA Service Center confirmed

Aug 16, 2018: Mailed out I-751 for removal of conditions

I see no one has come up with October I 751 2018 filing situation, I thought I should start this thread. Well, I initially sent my application to remove the condition on my GC last month, however, after 2 weeks, I got my complete application resent back to me with a NOA stating I filed too early, I was however advised to resubmit the application within my 90 days window to the expiration of my conditional LPR. I only took off the old application, re filled out new one, signed by my wife and myself, I also reissue a new check as the old one was not cashed but stamped by USCIS thus; mailed out the complete application with bunch of proofs to satisfying the ' good faith marriage'. Its been just few days back they got my application at TSC, I monitored my package to be sure it made it to USCIS securely, it sure did, 'Delivered' , now the waiting starts, am not really stressed by the waiting though, all I am eager about is an extension letter. Please share your experiences here too, together we can journey the long wait.....it's aiit I guess

That's true, plane ticket prices just raise to the roof specially if the flight would be in December. For what I've observed, since uscis had been trying to fix the delays, from your NOA 1 which is usually sent within 30 days from when they received your packet give it about 1-2 weeks then the biometrics appt letter will come and is usually schedule 30 days from when they created it ( who knows when it's actually sent). I saw a post from the September 2018 filers they received their biometrics appt letter a week before they're appointment. I can say you can purchase the ticket for December, just get a refundable/amendable one just to be on the safe side.

7. Now make whatever updates/changes you would like, then hit Submit Reply

Date of I-751 = The Date you sent your application.
NOA Date = The Receipt Date on your original NOA letter.
Biometrics = The Date of your biometrics appointment.
Approved = The Date your case was approved.

Hi everyone! Here we go again with another process! :D 

We filed our ROC on the 9th and got the text notification on the 17th. Still unable to check case status... waiting patiently to receive NOA1..

I'm already anxious to get done with the process lol

I'll be updating you guys as we progress and keeping an eye on this thread to the best of my ability. Good luck everyone! I hope it's a short and easy one for all of us! 😛
