My husband got his Biometrics Appointment notification, but like several other VSC filers, no NOA1 yet.

Thanks Carly. I would like to think that getting the biometrics is a good sign. All the things I read before said we should get the NOA first, so I am not sure why they reversed the order. Good luck to you guys, and thanks also adding my timeline to the table.

Folks at the Texas service centre - are the NOA1 dates you’ve put in our tracker the email/SMS dates ? Has anyone got any letter in the mail ? I’ve sent across my package on the 29th and got the number assigned on the 6th of Nov - Still nothing in the mail.

I am at the Texas service center. They received my application November 1st, still no NOA or biometrics in the mail. Since I am today over the 30 days I will give them a call.

Alright y'all.

InfoPass was unsuccessful.

Because my Green Card expires on 1/27/19 they said I have to come back when the Green Card has less than 30 days validity and they will stamp my passport. The officer was nice and he double checked with his supervisor.

I asked them if they can check if NOA 1 was issued and mailed and they said, it was issued on the November 2, 2018 and then he said IF THE NOTICE WAS MAILED YOU SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED IT BY NOW. So he didn't know for sure if it was mailed or not.  He double checked again the address and he said that everything looks okay.  LOL- I was about to say I know for a fact that it was not mailed out.

Then I asked about the biometrics and the officer was like - Don't worry about that, you won't get it for a while . WHAT?

So we are at their mercy.

Thanks for this Alex. This is very useful information. I am sorry to hear that they did not stamp your passport, and I hope you will get both NOA and Biometrics soon. It sounds exactly like you said. We are at their mercy. Did you already filed a service request for non-delivery of notice. I did right after thanks giving, and USCIS online says my case is assigned to an officer to respond.

My GC is expiring on Jan. 17, but I need to travel on Jan. 6 for work. I was barely able to find an info pass in NYC on Dec. 14. Do you think they might be more lenient since I have an upcoming travel in three weeks? Or did you get the sense that they will absolutely not do it before 30 days.

Good luck to you, and thanks for sharing all this helpful information.

You are welcome.

I did file the request and they said that my case is in line to be reviewed by an officer and if I don't get anything in the mail within the next 60 days to contact them.

The very same day I called them and they advised me to book an InfoPass. So I did and went to InfoPass this morning.

I am sure if you bring them the plane ticket they will stamp your passport with no questions asked.

Wow, so sorry, Alex, that you didn’t get a stamp. I actually also booked my infopass for around 35 days before card expiration date, and then rebooked it , so that it is just under 30 days.

01-16-2016: AOS package sent

01-09-2017: AOS (I-130 and I-485) granted

10-31-2018: I-751 filed

01-25-2019 NOA received (Extension letter, Biometrics waiver letter)

10-19-2019 Biometrics letter received

10-30-2019 Biometrics to be completed

Thanks a lot again Alex. When I called to follow up for non delivery of notice, they've told me that I should hear within 30 days. It sounds like depending on who you talk to in customer service, they give different information. I will also try to get it stamped in my biometrics appointment if I can before the info pass. I will let you all know how it goes.

Patsyuchok,

I guess I just have to be more patient :)

I didn't even know that it has to be under 30 days. It's okay. Now I know.

Good thing that you were able to reschedule!

So we are at the Vermont Service Center and recieved the NOA1 in a timely fashion with a date of 10/19/18. I'm seeing so many people at this center receiving their biometric appointments already. Most of whom, have NOA dates after ours. I'm wondering if somehow our letter was never delivered and my husband missed his appointment. Is there anywhere to check online for biometric appointment dates? Or has anyone ever called to check on something like this? We moved from CT to RI just after we applied and I'm wondering if because of that our letter got lost. I did update address with USCIS appropriately etc and we did recieve our NOA letter at our new address so I'm not sure why this would be affecting anything....but who knows.

Hmmm.... A lot of VSC people seem not to have gotten their NOA1, but have gotten their biometrics appointment notice. That is the case with my husband!

I would definitely call as soon as you can. My husband and I got his biometrics appointment notice either Dec 1st or 2nd (we were out of town this weekend so don't know when it exactly came) and his appointment is scheduled for Dec 10th. Because that is such a quick turn around time, I would definitely call USCIS today if you can...I wouldn't want you to miss your appointment!

The date that I put is the one that appears on the letter, although when I called USCIS they told me that they had sent it 10/5. My case has not been transferred to any other service center (my receipt starts with SRC) and I haven't received any notifications for biometrics. Actually, I just received an email from USCIS saying that there were no updates for my case. I can't wait for the day that I'm done dealing with USCIS lol

Hi Alex & Everyone, I received an email notice from USCIS after my follow up inquiry that they are sending me a duplicate NOA. I had called them the day after thanks giving and just received the email today (Dec. 3). I hope the duplicate will arrive soon, but I am holding on to my info pass. I hope they will also respond to your inquiry soon. I hope this is helpful.

My personal experience with their address change system is that it is not very reliable.

I had filed my address change with uscis and got a confirmation email back from them, about a year before applying for ROC. They still sent the reminder letter for ROC to my old address. I would check with your previous address if possible, or make sure you have USPS redirecting your mail.

Same thing happened to me- reminder sent to old address even though we filed AR-11 address change. Apparently its quite common.
