Could or couldn’t? If you could you should, I think; I would not risk leaving the country without a legal way to get back in!

One other option you have is if someone that stays home could forward the NOA, assuming you’d receive it after you’d left,  to you by fedex. But that’s a risk.

Have you called them? Perhaps you could ask for an expedited NOA

Couldn’t, called them, also sent an email, and officer called me and told me to go to the office and explain my situation, he said maybe they will accept me as an walk in and stamp my passport. It's my only choice.

Hi,

So I have called the USCIS phone number listed on my account. Its been past the date listed over there after my case was received. First I have tried the automatic log in but after putting and double checking the LIN number the system told me that it does not recognise my LIN number. So I clicked to reach a customer service.

After 20-25 minutes on hold USCIS agent picked up. Very nice. Asked me about my basic info ( name, DOB, A number, address and more ) , what is the reason of me calling and basically did not give me any info. I have explained that I have received the TXT message with LIN but nothing in the mail. Also that I have registered on dhs.gov and it shows that they received the case and fingerprints fee and they did send the notifications in mail but I did not received anything from USCIS. Agent told me that they have to open the inqury. Asked me and verified  my basic info yet again. Name, DOB, Address, A number, receipt number, phone number and more and told me to wait up to 30 days for getting something from them. IF I dont receive anything within 30 days I should call them again. Overall nice expreience.

We will see if this will help to speed up the process.

Have a good day!

Sorry to hear you couldn’t get an appointment before your travel date! Definitely do the walk in. I know some offives don’t accept walk ins. Maybe you can research yours beforehand.

So you can’t ask for an expedited NOA

Or put in a complaint? At least after the 30 days...

I called through the military helpline last time (my husband is military), the wait was about 25 minutes and they did answer the call. The representative was very nice and I received an e-mail with a response the same day.

I have same timeline and service center as yours and nothing yet.

Got a response for my service request. They didn’t even touched my file so obvisiosly no NOA1 was issued.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records show your case is in line to be reviewed by an officer. We ask that you allow additional time for this process to take place since we process these cases in the order received. If after 60 days you have not received anything in the mail, please contact the USCIS Contact Center (NCSC) at the number provided below.

Interesting. Did you get this response in email, or in 'Case History' in myUSCIS?

We submitted a Non-delivery inquiry yesterday. Today in myUSCIS, I saw a new entry: 'On November 30, 2018, your inquiry about a notice that you did not receive, referral number XXXXXXXXXX, was assigned to an officer for response.'

But nothing in email yet (besides an inquiry receipt we got yesterday).
