I filed my application 37 days ago,  check was cashed same day I received an SMS notification (29 days ago).

I filed to TX Service Center but when I check my case status it says my case is being processed in the "Nebraska SC".

I have not received anything via mail (I-797 NOA). My green card expires on Jan 9 2019 and I am starting to worry because I want to provide this letter to my employer.

Are you guys experiencing a similar issue? I hope it's due to thanksgiving and I receive the letter soon

Yes, quite a few of us in the same boat for Nebraska LIN. If you go back a few pages on the forum there is a compiled list of everybody in this group. The only misleading thing about it is that the NOA column is populated whether or not we received the letter in the mail. I think those dates account for electronic notification, which are not official documents to show to your employer.

Depending on what you find out tomorrow, you might be able to get an appointment and get your passport stamped. And that would be considered proper documentation to provide for employment.

Mine is 41 days today, all I have is the text message of the receipt #, I have called twice, it was not helpful, my GC expire next month. An e-Request was made, they say after 30 days of the e-Request, I can call back.....I believe USCIS know exactly what they doing, I don't believe they forgot or they neglect because they never forget to send a reminder mail to file I-751 within 90 days window of all CR. I think we should all accept this is the processing procedure, and the game is all about exercising patience. They advised me to book an infopass to get my passport stamped with extension. I will give it few days more before doing that. At least am glad when I called, USCIS confirmed my receipt # with my details, and assured me that my application was received, with that piece of information, I felt comfortable, at least for the time been.....I don't really want to miss my fingerprint appointment, I hope it shows up soonest in mail, also the 18months hard copy NOA....good luck to all....

Hello Everyone, they receive my package on October 30 and I’m going to travel December 10. I’m starting to freak out, I’ll be back on January 15 and my GC expires Jan 11. Do you guys think if I go to an USCIS office they can help me? I can’t change my tickets.  I booked the dates and forgot the GC expiration date. Now it’s too expensive to change tickets. Don’t know what to do. Any information would help. Thanks

Don’t freak out, but do take action.

You should get an infopass appointment and get your passport stamped before you go. Call tomorrow or get an appointment online, I don’t know what the best thing to do is there. Did they send you a message about receiving the package? Or is that the date it was received by mail? If it has been 30 days since they cashed your check and received the package you should definitely call but in your case you don’t have much time so you should get your passport stamped so you will be able to get back into the country.

Good luck! Let us know how it went!

Sent my wife's paperwork in on October 10, they received on 11th, cashed check on 16th, than nothing, I called one time the first rep gave me the wrong case number Lin but the numbers were wrong at the end, than I called again the second rep gave the correct numbers, but said I have to wait until after November 16th to get any more answers as I have to give a month since they initially sent noa1, nothing shows online , he said not to worry it happens sometimes. Called on November 20th, complained, they filled a complain, than sent out letter 23rd Nov, I got it 26th November, I was about to make an infopass appointment, now waiting for biometrics. If anything this process makes you learn patience.

We filed end of October. Our case is at the Nebraska Service Center, and we called the other day. They said its typically taking longer than 30 days to receive NOA1 because they have such a backlog. Based on what I've seen on this forum, that definitely seems to be the case for those who are at LIN (and elsewhere for that matter).

I know and I have a feeling most of the cases are at LIN and so it's the most backlogged of the Service Centers.

My Green card and Driver's License do not expire until 1/27/19 so no stress there, but you know it would be nice to have the NOA 1 ASAP.

The problem for me is that when I’m back from our trip my GC will be expired. Tried to book an appointment and could get before the date of my trip. Don’t know what to do.

I'm assuming you couldn't get an appointment before your trip. There's a thread that I've seen on Visajourney about people setting up auto-refresh software on their computer which will refresh the appointment page every few seconds and will send  a message if the page changes (if an appointment opens up). I don't know the specifics, but I remember this working for people who were able to get appointments soon when other people cancelled. Search "how to get an Infopass appointment" (or something like that) to find the thread that has specific information.

Could or couldn’t? If you could you should, I think; I would not risk leaving the country without a legal way to get back in!

One other option you have is if someone that stays home could forward the NOA, assuming you’d receive it after you’d left,  to you by fedex. But that’s a risk.

Have you called them? Perhaps you could ask for an expedited NOA
