Does the Online Status change when they schedule the Biometrics? How does it look like?

I sent my package on 10/18 and still didn't receive any letter. I'm worried they will schedule the Biometrics and I will miss it. 

My case is being processed in the California Service Center.

I don't think the status changes online, no. I believe I have read cases here of people also missing or nearly missing their appointments because their notice didn't arrive in the mail. For now, it looks like only those at the Vermont Service Center have gotten their biometrics appointments so far. I'm sure you can call and check though for peace of mind!

Called USCIS on the 16th they told me they already sent my letter. Spoke to a Tier 2 told me the same thing. 10 days later still no letter. Currently on the phone on hold right now. Congratulations to everyone who got their NOA1 and Biometrics letter.

Yes,  I called last week and just still called today, i spoke with representative. Its hard with automated response, but if you follow up, its still gonna transfer you to live rep. There is no exact pattern, just pay attention, you will sure be sent to a customer care, once u are transferred the waiting time is mostly 25minutes before someone picks it up. The lady i spoke to today, told me my case is still under review and that there is nothing to worry about. She said i should be rest assured that my case is received and its been worked on. She said i can book infopass to get my passport stamped. I told her well, i might have to do that if i didn't get the NOA by the end of this week.

I just received a notice for biometrics today, but I never received the first NOA that states my GC is extended for 18 months? Does anybody have experience with this?

@Ninetails same thing happened to me and the other person.

My case is at VSC. Package got to TX Oct 26. Check cashed Nov 1.

Received biometric appointment in mail Nov 24 for Dec 3.

I never received an extension letter(Noa1).

Hey @Ninetails! What Service Center is it at? VSC? 

Also, out of my own curiosity, when did you send the packet and when did they receive it? My husband and I have been waiting for his NOA1 and biometrics appointment letter and are getting concerned...a lot of other VSC filers here seem to be getting their biometrics appointments scheduled for quite soon, and I don't want him to miss it!

Yup, sent on 10/23, got a text on 10/29 with EAC# and nothing since! Got biometrics letter today in the mail scheduled for 12/04. I wonder why no NOA1???

Definitely weird! Hopefully they will send it soon. At least the bio appointment means they are making some progress?? I'd call as soon as 30 days passes since they texted you.
