Mailed out the application package on the 29th of October and got my Receipt no as - SRCXXX.... - Texas Service Center.

Does that mean the application was accepted and NOA1 which would serve as my green card for the next 18 months has been mailed out? Its the 19th of Nov at the time of writing this and I haven't got any mail from the USCIS so was wondering if I should make an infopass appointment or not.

Also Is there a chance that the application was not accepted with the status online being so -  the acceptance/denial aspect is crucial for us as our's was a case of late filing due to a existing i90 application to correct the original card being in process (long story for another thread - link )

Yes, that means they have accepted the application and they routed it to Texas Service Center.

TSC is the one the will mail out the extension letter aka. NOA 1, but first they have to receive it and put all the info into their systems. 

Currently there is a delay in sending out the receipts. It takes about 3-5 weeks. 

 

EDIT: Wait, so you are waiting for USCIS to correct your 2 YR green card to a 10 yr green card since you enter the country after your second wedding anniversary? 

If this is the case and you should have received the 10 yr green card, and correct me if I am wrong, you don't have to apply to have the conditions removed on your green card.

 I sent email over the weekend to USCIS letting them know that is been over 30 and no extension letter. So today I receive 18 month extension letter and also a letter from them confirming I spoke with them on Nov 8th about same issue. My guess is the phone call after my 30 days put into action and received the I-797 (NOA) today...I'm guessing I will be getting another letter in the mail from this weekends email to them..The NOA said they received my application on OCT 3rd. and issued this extension letter on Nov. 14th Extension is 18 months from expiration date on green card. Off to drivers center tomorrow to renew license now that we have letter. Nothing as far as biometric appt.

DRIVER'S LICENSES RENEWAL 

 

I noticed a lot of applicants need their extensions to renew their driver's licenses. We are from Washington state WA and the State is pretty independent from the federal government on issuing ID or driver's licenses. 

Many people, uscis applicants or even undocumented people get their driver's licenses independently from their legal permanent residency status.

My Spouse got her driver's license before even filing the AOS. 

WA and California (I'm pretty sure) only require that you provide proof of being resident of their states, not of the U.S. 

We provided proof of domicile in WA state (bills, lease, etc...showing that my Spouse reside in WA). 

It's interesting to see how States work differently.

Yes I did apply for the i90 correction and they denied it - sent me the denial notice late i.e. got it on the 30th day saying I have 30 days to appeal :/ and instructed me to file for a removal of conditions. Apparently the officer who adjudicated our case wasn't aware of the subtleties of 2 year anniversary at the port of arrival

Yeah I’m RI I had to provide the 18 month extension letter for them to renew my licence for a period of 18months from the expiration of my green card.

Interesting!!!! I guess RI doesn't welcome undocumented nor allow them to have ID or Driver's licenses regardless of their legal status. We are lucky in the Pacific States. My Spouse driver's license was issued at the end of 2015  before AOS and expires beginning 2022, long time after her citizenship hopefully. Now removing conditions on green card,  license is not a concern.

Haven't received the NOA yet so went to go get I-551 stamp for one year extension because drivers license expired along with the green card. They took fingerprints and my husband's photo at the same time. They also kept his old green card. 

Is there any reason we will need the NOA for future petitions or interviews? I remember needing to submit a NOA for one application at some point back in time. Just worried we'll need it down the road and we don't have it. 

Now I'm seeing some people get their NOA fast and some after 30 days have past. What if I get the letter and it's extending the green card by 18 months but the stamp says just 1 year? Already went to get the drivers license so too late for that. Hate having to renew and pay for a new license ever so often.

TSC is the one the will mail out the extension letter aka. NOA 1, but first they have to receive it and put all the info into their systems. 

Currently there is a delay in sending out the receipts. It takes about 3-5 weeks. 

 

EDIT: Wait, so you are waiting for USCIS to correct your 2 YR green card to a 10 yr green card since you enter the country after your second wedding anniversary? 

If this is the case and you should have received the 10 yr green card, and correct me if I am wrong, you don't have to apply to have the conditions removed on your green card. 

I am in the same service center as yours, I filed in October 13th, my check was cashed on 10/19/2018 and got a text message of my receipt # starting SRCxxxxxxx stating they mailed out the NOA to me, and they said further that, if by November 17 I didn't receive the NOA,in mail I should call USCIS....well today is November 19, I haven't receive anything in the mail up till now, so I called the USCIS today, she says the receipt number isn't tracking, so she said she was going to make an e-Request for me, she did and gave me the reference # . She said I can make an infopass to get my passport stamped.....I might have to do that, she still told me to wait 30 days after the e-Request. It's so confusing, anyone at TSC to update what's happening please.....

So you'll have your driver's license renew for one year based on your stamp? And then renew it again in another year?

You should try to go back to the dmv as soon as you receive your 18 months extension letter and request an expiration date correction, so you don't have to wait to renew it in a year. You might avoid paying again.

 

We were just talking about different states and their different policies regarding federal laws. 

Washington state is definitely a good state for giving a good treatment to aliens regardless of their legal status.

Correct. This is how Ohio works. 

 I am due to renew my license in January because it's tied to my Green Card Expiration. 

Once I get the letter extension I am going to DMV.

So 30 days from the 19th of October is when they said you should call - and you called on the 19th of Nov. Then on the 19th they raised an e request and advised to make an infopass appointment for 30 days since the eRequest which would be the 19th of December - Sheesh. Perhaps I should make an infopass for the 7th of December since if I don't get the NOA by the 5th, I can reach out to them.
