From the list, I see lot of you receiving the NOA with 5 - 10 days. I submitted it on Oct 30 and still haven't received it and the case status on USCIS says they have received fingerprint fee and have mailed notice. Guess I have to wait.

Dear All-

Got my appointment for biometrics. One thing though, it’s at 9 am a day after Thanksgiving. Are they open?

I am at EAC

Since USCIS scheduled it, I think it'll probably be open. Call your field office/ the office where your biometrics has been scheduled to make sure. Don't forget to update the tracker btw.

When traveling overseas,  your expired green card should be accompanied with your extension letter. The I-797C notice on top of your expired green card extends your permanent resident status in the USA for the amount of time mentioned on it. You can travel,  work,  create a business. The date on the I797C notice is definitely not a concern. You filing date is October 15. You could receive your Notice of action even 3 months later after filing and travel, it wouldn't be a issue.

Just for more information Here is what they said on the USCIS website: "We are making the change from 12 to 18 months because current processing times for Form I-751 and Form I-829 have increased over the past year.

Additionally, we will issue new Form I-797 receipt notices to eligible conditional permanent residents whose Form I-751 or I-829 was still pending as of June 11, 2018. Those Form I-797 receipt notices will also serve as evidence of continued status for 18 months past the expiration date on petitioner’s Permanent Resident Card.:".

Good luck! Et Bon voyage!!!!

I'm pretty sure what you see in that list are the dates those applicants received just a text message providing them with their case number (if they included the G-1145 E-Notification of Action/Petition Acceptance).

5-10 days is really exceptional to receive the Original I-797C Notice of Action in the mail. Maybe it happened for some but for the majority they have been waiting 3 to 5 weeks or even more depending on the speed of the service center.

I got a text message saying my package was received 10 days ago. If the next letter I get in the mail is an NOA with an extension, does this mean I don’t have to do biometrics? Do I need to go to the office to get an I-551 stamp?

You have every right to call them up and ask for a status update, since it's been 30 days from the text, not even from the delivery date. I expect them to say something like "We sent the NOA on the 2nd of November, wait up to 30 days for it to come" or something similar.

It's going to be 30 days for me next week since they received my application, and I haven't even gotten a text. I did get a case number after calling them, that indicates it's in Nebraska (which currently sucks in terms of processing times, but these things fluctuate). They said I should wait 30 days from the time they sent the NOA, which was on the 24th of October, so that pushes my wait time to about 3 weeks from now before I'm calling them again.

Dec   3, 2018: USCIS NOA1 letter with 18month extension received😍(notice was dated Nov 29)

Νov 28, 2018: USCIS email received with confirmation of 11/27 call, case at this time processed in NE and estimate of NOA1 email or letter to be received in next 15 business days

Νov 27, 2018: USCIS rep submitted new request for duplicate NOA letter

Oct 25,  2018: Got notified that check was cashed! 😄

Oct 19,  2018: Delivery in Texas lockbox confirmed

Oct 18,  2018: Re-mailed out I-751 for removal of conditions

Oct   4,  2018: Packet returned with rejection NOA1 due to missing signature 😓

Aug 17, 2018: Delivery in CA Service Center confirmed

Aug 16, 2018: Mailed out I-751 for removal of conditions

No, you still need to wait for biometrics letter.

It looks like Nebraska is now significantly slowing down.
