Hey, I got my receipt number (also EAC) on October 24th and still have not received the NOA and when entering my receipt number on the case tracker located here https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do I get this message:

"Validation Error(s)
You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:

  • My Case Status does not recognize the receipt number entered. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the USCIS Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283."

 

 

The only way I was able to get anything to recognise my receipt number was by creating an account here: https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov and adding the case to my account. Mine currently says: 

 

"We received your case

You do not need to do anything at this time

We will let you know if we need anything else from you as we continue to review your case.

Current as of today at 10:33 a.m."

 

Please note, a lot of people don't realise that these are two different platforms so if it isn't working on one, try the other. Hope this helps!

Update: 

Since today is a holiday and the office is closed, Instead of waiting to call them tomorrow, I decided to submit a case inquiry online about a late notice.

Now I wait to hear back or receive something in the mail finally. Fingers crossed.

Yeah. I was surprised to see that show up this early. Since I got my NOA on the 22nd (dated 19th), I was expecting the biometrics show up about a month later. Hopefully they keep up the pace. Looking around on various forums so far VSC seems to be pretty fast.

Did you signed up on that website I posted? u need to sign on there with a valid email, then add your case file, it should be track able there. It won't track on the uscis.gov website because your data hasn't been entered yet. However, you can as well wait for the fingerprint notice, on it, there would be another different number, that will be track able on uscis.gov , good luck

Looks like they are starting to send out biometrics too. What's your Service Center?

I was on the phone with USCIS and after a long wait, it looks like they gave me wrong receipt/case number.

 

Can anyone tell me if its going to be 10 or 11 digits after three alphabets . my reciept no. starts with MIN and then followwd by 10 digits.

 

They received my file on 10 Nov and issued NOA on 5 Nov. Now I am waiting for NOA to come in the mail.

AOS from K-1 visa

5/27/2016: Entered US on k-1 visa

6/01/2016: Married!

7/22/2016: I-485 & I-131 & I-765 sent to USCIS

8/1/2016: NOA via SMS & Email received

8/3/2016: NOA letters received

8/10/2016: Biometrics appointment letter received (scheduled for 26 August)

8/26/2016: Biometrics done at Alexandria, VA

9/19/2016: RFIE E-Notification Received

9/23/2016: RFIE Letter Received

10/27/2016: Responsed back to RFIE Letter

I cant belive that they gave me wrong no. even though I repeat back the number to her (I said M as a mike and she said yes...lol

 

After I finish phone call and I was wondering MIN does not sound familiar...lol.
