Guys,

I was checking through Case Tacker App to see how many apps they received today... I was blown away, I checked 500 apps prior to my receipt number all are saying fingerprint fee was received. Then I checked starting with my receipt number, another 1,000 and then I stopped. These are all at LIN. I sure the other service centers are packed too.

LOL, USCIS is making big money.

It's going to be a long wait. :)

Downloaded the Case Tracker App, but it's unfortunate it didn't recognize my receipt # SRCxxxxxxx, is there anyway around it?

Unfortunately no. It's picking up data from the old website so as soon as that works you'll be able to track it. Looks likes SRC is slower than WAC, EAC and LIN imputing the data in the systems. I just hope the will fast in delivering the NOAs.

Haha! Now mine is showing on both. I'd say give it time, it seems like there is just a lag in when they get it up on the site :)

Ok.. so here I am still waiting for the NOA1 27 days later since they received it. It becomes 30 days on Sunday so I'll be calling them on Monday and see what happens.

I was hoping this process wouldn't take so long specially just to get to the first step but things happen I guess..

I still can't believe we might be in this process for one to two years. It just seems way too long.

I do intend to visit my family overseas as soon as I get the biometrics done so hopefully reentry on an extension letter is not a headache causing situation.

Regarding the biometric inquiry.

It says in the I-751 Instructions from that:

" if you are the U.S. citizen or Lawful permanent Spouse,  you do not need to include a biometric service fee at the time this petition is submitted. If USCIS later notifies you that you must submit your biometrics, you will receive a biometric service appointment notice with instructions on how to submit the additional fee."

From what I understand, spouses of the US citizens are not required to have another biometric service appointment,  unless based on each applicant's case, the USCIS has a doubt on the applicant identity or criminal records and decides that the applicant must submit biometric information for more background check.

I saw many applicants getting their i751 approved without getting another biometric appointment. (Applicants doing the combo i751 and N400 would receive their biometric appointment from the N400). Some even inquired to be refunded based on the instructions, but the USCIS did NOT.

However, I noticed all i751 applicants include their biometric fees when they submit their Application, even if the instructions don't recommend it. If they don't include it, the uscis will reject their application and request that the applicant provide all the fees, even if the instructions don't recommend doing that.

And it's weird that the USCIS don't refund or return these biometric fees or recall to stop the applicants to submit them. It's really confusing and arbitrary!!! The USCIS don't always follow their own rules when it comes to money.

So I hope it will help those who are worried about biometric service appointment. However, if you have included dependents in your application, that's completely different. These instructions only apply to the spouses not other applicants.

I'm at CSC.

I know how it feels, I was looking at other people's timelines and seeing their checks were cashed 5 days after delivery while mine wasn't hadn't been cashed and wondering why (even if I knew it didn't mean anything and I just had to wait).

As often with USCIS, all I had to do was wait. I'm sure yours will be cashed soon :)

Of course now I'm wondering how long until I get my extension letter. I see that some people at CSC have been waiting for 3 weeks after their text notificatons and still haven't received it. My green card expires in 11 days so I'm a bit nervous.
