Dear all,

i just got rfe today and i have question about the rfe usually it will show list what uscis got from you, but it did not say in the letter. also it said do not send the thing that i already sent, since it did not said what they received how do i know if i have to resend them? please i need help! thanks!

I think you should have comprehensive lists of what you submitted. If you don’t, then look at any new things that you and your spouse just has a joint stuff. For example like having a child after you filed I 751, like joint insurance, like new itinerary and like new pictures taken recently. You can as well include new lease of y’all live. Accompany all with a letter written by you and your wife describing your situation, put you and your spouse ID card and make sure you both signed to endorse the letter. I wish you the very best. Cheers

They sure got your package, if they don’t, your won’t have receipt number. There are two types of RFE, one is Additional Evidence while the second is Initial Evidence. Track your case to be sure which is requested if you. If it’s Additional, then it shows you should add new evidences, however, if it is initial it indicates that, though they might have gotten some evidences from you at filing, but they do not however, count it to be a tangible evidences. I hope this help. I wish you the best

Get a Case Tracker app. Once you do that you will be able to see if it’s Additional or Initial Evidence they are requesting

Quick update... our I-751 is still pending (submitted 30 October 2018, originally in Vermont, and was transferred to NBC the same exact day of the biometrics appointment for the N400, on 20 Nov 2019). N400, however, has been scheduled for an interview on Feb 18th 2020...so we're going to operate under the assumption that it is a combo interview.

Any others in the same boat as us?

What I have heard and read that this may turn out to be a combo meeting and USC spouse should attend for the I-751 interview portion if it happens. I am in the same boat and plan to attend as well asI am the USC spouse. I do have a K2 who is the I-751a applicant and I am not sure I need to take her. We dont want her to miss school, so may not take her along as we have a toddler that would be tagging along if they need to confirm any bonafide marriage criteria.

is it lost ???

A year is not the processing time, you need to check the processing time of your application center, some of us here filed October 2018, and are still waiting. I know how you feel, just calm down and employ patience. Cheers

Well Vermont center is taking 13 to 17.5 months, which means you need to wait till you are at least 13 months before you could expect a decision by USCIS if filed jointly with USC spouse, however, if it’s a waiver filing, that is filing without your spouse in the case you divorced, that may take up to 17.5 . Whatever situation you find yourself, you can’t complain as your case is still within the stipulated processing time. So be patience, it’s gonna be fine.

Good, then why worried, your approval will come within 13 to 14 months, in between that month you should have your card. Good luck
