Automatically, interview for I 751 will be required. Good luck

That is not correct.  Many people have been approved without an interview.

Not always. There have been cases where they I-751 still got approved without interview even with a pending N-400.

Most I have seen, had their I 751 case moved to other offices, and there, they are summoned for interview. I have only spoken from my experience and perspective. However, I am not denying any other views.

It's not really a view. It's how it is. We are not saying that most cases aren't transferred and often it will be a combo interview but that it is possible to have the I-751 approved with pending N-400.

Tried the live chat today and got the same answer we got from a phone rep.

Also obsessively searching case numbers around mine. Looks like almost all cases in a decent sample size both before and after our numbers got approved back around August with the exception of like 3 cases directly around our number.

S0 you had no interview for the I-751?

Correct. No interview. Straight from application to biometrics to green card. With pending N400, too.

Sorry about that.

How solid was your application package (financial co-mingling-wise, etc.)?

Here is the list of what we submitted. Not the most comprehensive, I know, but it’s difficult being recent college grads without kids, mortgages, significant assets, etc.

I have started putting a few things together in case we receive and RFE. I have gotten a new job since filing and have him as beneficiary for life insurance. He listed me on his Whole Foods employee/family discount form as his wife. We’ve gotten another joint credit card together.

o Exhibit 1 - Copy of our joint IRS Tax Return Transcripts for fiscal years 2016 and 2017

o Exhibit 2 - Monthly statements from our joint checking account from 9/2016 to 8/2018

o Exhibit 3 - Copies of our credit cards, showing joint accounts

o Exhibit 4 - Apartment leases and other correspondence from landlords showing joint residency

o Exhibit 5 - Copies of Driver’s Licenses with matching addresses

o Exhibit 6 - Periodic statements from rental insurance in both of our names at our various residential addresses

o Exhibit 7 - A cellphone plan overview and monthly bills from Sprint showing cell phones on same family plan

o Exhibit 8 - Various plane tickets from trips taken together

o Exhibit 9 - Photos of us and family/friends over the years

o Exhibit 10 - Affidavits attesting to our relationship from family members and friends

Still nothing since the updates about fingerprints after our bio appointment in early July... I’m hoping we get approved before needing to go in for a stamp, but with almost all the other Nebraska filers getting approved by now, I have no idea what to expect.

Hey. You are not alone. I'm still here waiting with you. LIN filer as well.

I did however submit N400 on November 1st. Its estimated to be completed by August 2020.

Don't remember if you were looking into citizenship but something to keep in mind is citizenship fees (n400 fee) are almost going to double in a month or so. From about $600 to well over $1100. So just keep that in mind as you wait. Hopefully our I751 gets approved soon. Godspeed to the both of us and everyone else waiting as well. Btw I think your i751 package is pretty extensive. Only thing that would have made it better is having kids really but obviously that's not everyone's goal and I'm sure USCIS understand that.

Is the fee rise for sure? From what I understood it’s currently just being put forward in a period of review.

The review period is part of the increase process from what I read. It would be there no matter what. I also read the fee increase is to be used to fund ICE and its operations better as well as making it harder for those who can't afford to file for immigration benefits.

Quite sad the money wont be used to make the processing wait times shorter.

I am not even worried about the fees rising or not, the pure truth is this whole process is draining, just wanna get over with. I will rather wait for the approval of my I-751 before submitting my N-400 which is already package. Once I get my approval, I hit the button to submit the N-400. I think it’s ok to go a step at a time. Don’t wanna be worried about two cases simultaneously . I wish all best of luck

Yep, you know what I mean? When you get that approval you know you good to go and of course no more condition on your residence. The last step could just be a stroll to the trophy. No stress, just easy
