Thanks a lot Prok!

Been reading your posts, along with others.

Thanks for staying active.

Been checking VJ everyday to see what others are going through.

It is such a long process.

The green card return address was Lee Summit, MO, by the way.

We filed N-400 in Oct.

Because we did DCF in Philippines, we got our CR-1 so fast (in a few weeks), when the time came to apply for ROC, 90-Days before 3 year POE anniversary, we had not even been married for 3 years yet, so had to wait a bit.

So happy that we don't have to do a combined I-751 & N-400 interview! We have the green card now, so that is ALL done.

Why this for the profile pic?  Often in movies and on TV when they show Hawaii they show this beach/view. So, instead of doing Kauai or some other locale, we decided to do here, so that whenever some show shows Hawaii and this view, we will see where we were married.

Yes you are right, it’s all over!!!, am really happy for you. Mine ROC was accepted on Oct 18th 2018, I was initially told that my bio will be reused back in December 2018, thus my online status was Fingerprint was review and completed. Last October I got another letter to go do the bio again, I did and till now still waiting patiently. I want to have it before applying for N-400. Once more, congratulations.

Prok!

Thank you for your kind remarks.

You are ALMOST there, my friend.

Yes, just keep hanging in there.

We will celebrate today - have a nice brunch at the Hard Rock Casino here in Tampa. Unlimited everything, including oysters, sushi, waffles, french toast, pies, cake, etc...hee hee.

Houston was on our short list, btw - San Diego, Irvine, San Fran, West Palm, Tampa, Houston. Ultimately chose Tampa, and LOVE IT HERE!

Had to do bio-metrics. Never got a letter saying they would use our existing bio.

What surprised us was the fact that we were 90 days away from our 3rd POE anniversary, but because we had not quite been married 3 full years, the online system said that we were not eligible yet.

We got our DCF in Manila in only a few weeks. Few people probably ever fell between the cracks like we did.

Been studying for the civics test for a while now. Am pretty ready.

Just SO RELIEVED that the ROC is done...so won't have to do both, and hear the dreaded - "We can't make a decision yet", and have to go back to waiting.

They have oath ceremonies very often in Tampa, so expect to be a citizen within a week or two of the N400 interview. Yaay!

Now, have to change my name on the driver's license and SSN.

And after oath, get the spanking new US passport! Can't wait.

Bottom line, Prok - Few people actually get denied, so your time will come...SOON. Hang in there.

And when it does...CELEBRATE!!!

Thanks for being so active here.

We read VJ everyday. The experiences, the requirements, the troubles, the exhilarations. All real life, for real people.

When we watch stuff like 90 Day Fiance, it makes us laugh, but we also get so mad, because they do not represent us.

The 90 days is not to DECIDE IF you will marry; you needed to know and promise that already. It is for you to make arrangements for, and actually GET married. SMH.

We chose to do the CR-1, because DCF was available (then) in Manila, and we had already been living together for 4 years.

VJ showed us the way - the right ways to do it, and how to do it.

Everything worked out well for us.

Thanks Visa Journey Community.

One less thing....

See you all OUT THERE!

Just to clarify - The above comment refers to the N-400 online application, not the I-751 filing.

An update on our case.

On nov 14 the case tracker updated that new card was shipped and Nov 15 it updated that new card was picked up by usps and on Nov 16 the card was delivered.

Today we are getting a letter from uscis which I am assuming is about the decision or inquiry. Let's see.

Anyways we have card in hand and now on to citizenship

The I-751 Approval Letter was mailed on Nov 13th, 2019, and the actual Green Card was mailed on the 14th.

The Green Card arrived first - on Nov 16th, and the Letter arrived today - on Nov 18th.

No changes on the my.USCIS site.

Profile pic - Rainbow Tower of the Hilton Hawaiian Village - Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Why this for the profile pic?  Often in movies and on TV when they show Hawaii they show this beach/view. So, instead of doing Kauai or some other locale, we decided to do here, so that whenever some show shows Hawaii and this view, we will see where we were married.

Just a bit curious, did you say your online status didn’t change even when the card arrived? There was no text alert that your card was been produced or sort case tracker alert?

Wow! Then I have to closely monitor my mails, I chatted with USCIS today, I was connected to live rep. I requested to be booked an infopass as the previous one expire soonest. She gave me an item number and told me I will be called on a certain phone. Today makes exactly 13 months of my ROC acceptance. Still hanging on patiently waiting.
