No worries. My interview was the 21st of November and it’s been at issued-final processing for a few days with no emails with tracking :(

I am worried if I missed the tracking email and they might send my passport back so I’ve been trying to find any other way to check if my passport has been sent out. In the AIS page it says “check for ds-160” under status :(

Oh I wouldn't stress then. There were serveral people ahead of you so they may not have sent yours yet. Our interview was Nov. 13th.

FYI- The email we got Monday saying they would start sending them was to me (US citz) directly in response to my email asking if they'd send our docs back. The email on Tuesday saying it had been sent only went to my wife (Canadian).

Good news. Passports come immediately! Our interview was Nov. 13 and we've been waiting for the strike.

We got word on Monday via email they would start sending them out despite the strike still going on and to expect delays. Tuesday got an email that it was sent and a tracking number. Wednesday (today) notice that it was at the post office in Calgary ready for pick up!

One important note - it said it has to be picked up by Thursday (tomorrow?!) or it would be sent back. Soooo keep an eye on your email friends :)

We also got our original docs back that they forgot (?) to give us at the interview. Not sure if they would have done this automatically or only because we emailed and asked but yay.

Did you guys pay extra for courier service or just to pick up at Canada Post in Calgary? Oh, and congrats again!!

My interview was Nov 20th. I asked to pick mine up in Montreal since the strike was still an issue then. They said they would call me when the passport was ready but I’ve still heard nothing. Based on Courtney86’s timing I should hear, if not receive it, by next Wednesday (5 Dec). Even this very last step in the process is taking 3x the “advertised” duration.

We were unlucky to be caught in this strike but I feel you.

4 hours later, tracking is still not working. Urg😫

Thanks so much for keeping everyone in the loop.

My guess is that just means that it hasn't been scanned through Canada Post. I'd love to hear when the tracking works and/or you receive your passport.

At my work, we print off tracking numbers for pieces of mail and then have them picked up the following morning where they are scanned into the CP system and available for tracking then. My guess is that they use a similar process.

Bad news.

canadapost just kept pushing my delivery date back a day every 4-5 hours. Now it went from December 3rd to December 6th within 12hours. I am not getting any update to my package and all I see is “delayed due to labor disruption.” I have so many packages coming in for my mom and they all arrived fine. You figured the ONE THING that is most important now is in limbo.

I just checked my status on CEAC and it's update to this:

This is so crazy!! Every other US embassy in the world uses DHL or some other courier service yet Canada, a first world country uses snail mail. Unbelievable!!! Hope you get it soon

I have that too, but when I click on the link it says “the page you were looking for doesn’t exist.” With the helpful advice that perhaps I misspelled the URL...even though I clicked it.

Regardless, I got a State Department email at 1014 this morning saying they have released my passport to CPC, despite the immigration officer’s assurance that I could pick it up in Montreal. Now i’m at the mercy of the disgruntled, highly trained postal slugs for when I can cross, just like Ayaoyao.

My status on CEAC just changed this morning too to final processing, thank the powers that be. Link in the description is also broken - but I believe it was a link catered for K1 visas anyways since it has non immigrant URL in it. From here, it sounds like it'll probably be just CPC delays, which I can deal with a lot better than any embassy delay that might have occurred. Thanks for all the updates everyone.
