FWIW, it seems like NVC is assigning interview dates at a pace of one interview day per one "cc date" group.  So from me to Sh.0911.CANtoUS, our cc dates are 5 days apart, and our interview dates are 5 working days apart (weekends not counted).  And from Sh.0911.CANtoUS to SKB2017, their cc dates are 2 days apart, and interview dates are 2 days apart.

MC1 :  Sept 6 – Dec 13

Sh.0911.CANtoUS:  Sept 11 – Dec 20

SKB2017:  Sept 13 - Dec 21

This is a small sample group.  If anyone wants to add to this list, and see 1) how far apart two people's cc dates are, and 2) how apart far their interview dates are, maybe we'll see a trend.  Get a gauge on NVC's pace.

Just thought this might be helpful to those still waiting on interview dates.  I know how painful the wait is, still a little in disbelief I actually got an interview date.

@BChance and those still waiting/ were told no keep trying just in case. I was CC on Aug. 9th and interview is Nov. 13th (in Montreal now!)

BUT when I called on Mon Oct. 15th (the day that evvvveryone seemed to get their interviews, both dates before and after mine) I was told I didn't have one. I was gutted. The next day I decided to try again, and the person I spoke to told me It was Nov. 13th, and wasn't sure why I was told no. That maybe it hadn't updated yet. I didn't get an actual email until Oct. 18th.

So, if by the date ranges, it seems you should have your interview, try calling again. You never know! But either way an email will come eventually. Hope that helps!

Montreal Medical (Medisys) review:

My wife said it was super simple, as others did. Her appointment was at 12:40 and we arrived only a few minutes before. A bunch of paperwork to fill out- be sure you have a printout of your interview letter (i.e. email). You will need your case number off of it. I printed 2 in case they kept it, which they did. So we still have one for the actual interview. You also need your planned US address. They also require FIVE passport pics (one per page), so ignore if others say they only needed less.

She went in for the exam around 1 which was really straightforward. Next was X-Rays, an eye exam, and vaccines. She also had to do a pee test, as they now check for a couple different STIs. (I had read this happened some places but wasn't sure if Montreal did it or not).

She was finished around 2:15 or so. Probably could have been faster if we had arrived earlier to fill out the paperwork. The total cost of the exam w/ 2 vaccines incl tax was $527 CAD. I think w/out the vaccines was $462 CAD. Picking up results on Monday before the interview Tuesday.

Hope that helps!

Hi Guys!

Congratulations to everyone who has their interview date already and good luck to the ones who are still waiting on their interview dates.

I wanted to update you guys on my case. My wife & I decided to transfer our case to India, as we both were due for a visit anyway. We also got our interview date for December 14th at Mumbai Consulate in India.

Thanks! Yes, they are indeed moving fast as compared to Montreal. Although there's a lot of running around to get the medical and there is an extra step of getting biometrics done before interview. So not entirely without some extra pain.

Good Friday evening everyone. So, I  was in Montreal today for my 8am appointment.  Despite taking almost 3 hours, it’s done and over with, and more importantly, a success. Im very relieved.

Thanks to to this site I had a pretty good idea of what was gonna happen, and it pretty mich did, as I’ve read on here. I was 8am, got to the embassy at about 7:45 and I was #6. My advice to everyone, get there sooner. I didn’t leave the embassy until 1040am, waiting times combined made up almost 2.5 hours of that time.

as people have said, they call you up and take your documents. Then you wait and wait and wait. Eventually I was called up and the interview itself was quick and easy, no trickery.

But I did manage to get some very important information regarding passport delivery and pick up! THEY ARE NOT MAILING OUT PASSPORTS DUE TO THE CANADA POST STRIKE(This is effective Oct 17th, and can be read on the state department website as well). And the next part is good or bad, depending on where you live. Residents of Ontario and Québéc have the option to pick up the passport in person. They said my “package”(which is really just my passport) should be ready by Wednesday, 3 business day turnaround, and they will call Tuesday to confirm. The rest of the Canadian applicants are at the mercy of the Canadian post office strike, is basically what I was told by the gentleman that did my interview. Sorry to be the bearer of this news. And paying extra for the courier service doesn’t do it either as the courier service they chose to use was, you guessed it, Canada Post.

Overall, aside from sitting for what felt like eternity, it was pretty straightforward process.

feel free to ask me anything and I’ll fill in any missing pieces or questions from my experience there today.

congrats to everyone who got dates, and good luck to those with appointments coming up...Courtney, didn’t see you guys anywhere in the city, but good luck Monday.

So maddening. Did you register for the $21 courier service? Are they refunding that? Did you drive from London or take the train? Are you spending another 16 hours on the road in 3-5 business days? I’m staying in Delhi, can I pick up your passport for you when I go on the 20th? Not likely because you need to present your  credentials to get it. Maybe I’m just old and crotchety but there are SOOO many improvements that can be made to this system.

Thanks Frank.

And thanks for the offer of riding up, but I’m actually gonna go back up Wednesday night, for a Thursday morning pickup, assuming it is indeed ready. And unfortunately  I am coming from the London region, Sarnia actually. I hate the thought of driving it again, but hate the thought of not knowing when it will arrive otherwise.

also, I did pay for the courier service and I’m. It sure if they refund it. I’m guessing they don’t but I have no clue.
